All in all I genuinely cannot wait until this line actually opens up all the way to relieve the pressure on the other lines. I know it will take many passengers from the Central, District, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines.

And of course some services being retained from the high level at Liverpool Street during peak times.

I noticed on the 9-car trains that the selective door opening seems to have been setup very poorly, as more doors could be opened at certain stations. Towards Shenfield, Maryland there is no scope for any additional apart from front 7 cars. Forest Gate 1 door of car 8 opens up when it can have 2 doors open up. Manor Park only the front 7 cars open when it can have 1 door open in car 8. Seven Kings only 1 door opens in car 8, it appears it could have 2 open.
Why has this been setup so badly is a mystery.

There is to be a fresh consultation about extending the Elizabeth Line beyond Abbey Wood, noting that there is substantial development planned along the route to Gravesend. The following options are being proposed: 1 - Extend eight trains an hour over existing tracks to Dartford, four of which would continue to Gravesend. 2 - Extend all twelve trains to Dartford, over new tracks alongside the existing tracks. Four trains an hour would continue over existing tracks to Northfleet. 3 - No extension, but upgrades to the Southeastern and Thameslink services and new rapid bus links. The full consultation is here: www.abbeywood2ebbsfleet.com/index.php?contentid=60

I know it will take many passengers from the Central, District, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines. Absolutely, and will hopefully generate passengers of its own. We need to get passengers back back after Covid and hopefully this wonderful spanking brand new line will encourage that. I want to see all the lines including the Elizabeth line busy and generating revenue for TfL.

TfL Rail/Crossrail unit pulls Init Tottenham Court Road on test 👇 Funny it still says TfL rail service. It would be nice of them to let a 315 run through the tunnels just for celebration of a great rolling stock

It won't be named Elizabeth Line officially until the Central London section opens to the public.
