I can't see why it would cost more - surely "out of station interchange" would be set up as it is in other locations. I thought I read somewhere that fares are higher on TfL rail from Liverpool Street but that might have been a mistake on my part.

Looking at the fare finder, it does seem to charge you the cheaper price irrespective of whether you go via Liverpool Street rail station or not as it doesn’t list an alternative fare. The same can’t be said of going to Abbey Wood though as going via one of the NR stations would charge you £5 off peak instead of £3.10.

The fleet of 70 specially-designed Class 345 trains were built by Bombardier Transportation (now Alstom) in Derby.

The statement below no longer seems appropriate imo. Especially when you have similar trains on the London Overground, Greater Anglia, and now C2C. Elizabeth line trains
The fleet of 70 specially-designed Class 345 trains were built by Bombardier Transportation (now Alstom) in Derby.Do those have 6 double passenger doors per car?

If your changing between the NR and LUL Station it's an Out of Station Interchange so you shouldn't be charged.

Final Authorisation has now been granted by the Office of Road and Rail for opening on 24th May. All the stations except Bond Street have been approved for passenger use, Bond Street is apprived for safe evacuation only.
There really is no stopping it now.
