I'd also add remove parking spaces from bus lanes (why bother having a bus lane if it's full of parking bays in it) & bomb Peckham as well lol. Not sure about this but last time I looked up the word ‘fantastic’ in a dictionary, it came up with “extraordinarily good or attractive”, not “disgustingly unattractive or an eyesore” in fact I’ll go one further, it needs to be nuked rather than bombed

I hope they're all built well enough as building companies today like to cut corners when building new developments in order to save money. It's no coincidence that some concrete block of flats have been protected and really, more should be as well - like I say, if councils and some residents had looked after these places, they'd have a much better reputation

I hope they're all built well enough as building companies today like to cut corners when building new developments in order to save money. It's no coincidence that some concrete block of flats have been protected and really, more should be as well - like I say, if councils and some residents had looked after these places, they'd have a much better reputation I agree with you on today’s build quality of new buildings, gone are the days of bricks and cement and hello to flimsy steel structures and some ‘posh’ wood to cover it on the outside.

A bus route I would absolutely cut is the 38. It carries a lot of people as it’s an 8-figure route but nearly all of the buses on it just carry air because it’s so overbussed to the point that people are dispersed so much over the route. Also the 73 especially on Sundays I’ve noticed is looking a lot quieter as well. I honestly think TfL have a real bias towards these routes as they seem to be refusing to cut them. Then there are routes like the poor 94 (and inevitably the 31) which are stupidly busy at their former frequencies and now they’ve been cut they’re getting absolutely annihilated. I guess it’s all opinions but TfL seem to be ignoring places where cuts can afford to be made and cutting bits that shouldn’t be! The 38 has had a few reductions and another one probably is justified. I'm not sure about the 73 though, I'd rather remove the rather pointless 476 route, well at least the Stokey to Euston section.

The remaining Jubilee Line services between North Greenwich and Stratford should be able to take passengers travelling in the north/south direction, though this is supplemented by both DLR lines out of Stratford. Passengers travelling to central London can use other (possibly more direct) lines from Canning Town, West Ham and Stratford. And of course the Elizbeth Line with relieve all routes in the area to/from Stratford, Canary Wharf and Custom House. If possible, the maximum possible frequency of trains should operate the core West Hampstead to North Greenwich section - as far as signalling will allow, to provide a service similar to that of the Victoria Line. Trains outside of this section do tend to be less busy - a frequency of about every 5 mins will be sufficient on the Stanmore section. Though a modified timetable would be needed when events are on at Wembley, ExCel and Stratford. Its really easy to detrain passengers without delaying following train where there is extra centre platform (Seven Sisters, North Greenwich etc), but not easy on a live line. Having said that in 1930s additional speed control signalling was used on Piccadilly for Green Park short workings in peak hour so with quick platform staff can be done. (And there was no on train PA to request passengers to get ready to disembark then, so much easier to advise passengers now) For those that dont know, in 1930s, the Southbound Piccadilly was then busy between Manor House (with its tram terminus) and Central London, lot less busy in West as District Line still ran to Hounslow and Heathrow was still fields. So pointless sending frequent service further west. In case of West Hampsted its a bit of a pity a terminating bay, Woking style, in the middle couldnt be fitted in, even if cutting into part of island platform was required. On the subject of Seven Sisters I wonder if there's any chance of a station at Northumberland Park ever being built? It's been suggested before. On the Piccadilly Line a few trains could be turned at Wood Green although it's likely to delay following trains. Arnos Grove, Oakwood and Cockfosters can get quite congested at times.

Well I was on the 476 from Newington Green a couple of weeks ago going to Euston, and one 476 going the other way had a standing load so it definitely gets used. Bus lanes with parking spaces inside:just say Mitcham Road between Amen Corner & Tooting Station lol It does get annoying when buses have to join into 1 lane just because there is one car Bomb Croxted Road whilst your at it Rebuild it with a wider road Croxted Road doesn't need to be wider, it just needs parking to be concentrated one side of the road along there, especially on the curve by the railway bridge in Herne Hill - someone at Lambeth needs to really sort that out. Southwark needs to also sort out South Croxted Road with parked cars on both sides - the 3's TA's were nimble & short enough to simply glide in between the gaps but the Enviro 400H's and LT's don't seem able enough to do so. The only reason I suggested Peckham is because it's a hellhole quite frankly - the bus station is actually the only decent thing about the place as interchanging between most routes here is pretty straightforward Croxted Road was the place I came to stay at in London regularly for over twenty years, up to seven years ago. Initially, at my sister's place on the Southwark side, where she lived over the children's nursery she owned and ran with her husband: later, after his tragic death, she moved to a converted flat in a house almost opposite, on the Lambeth side. There's the nub of the problem - two different local authorities unwilling to get together and see what can be done about the traffic/parking problems. I've had a car wrecked outside her house at night by a drunk driver, and another with a huge gouge down the side that I discovered on the morning of my brother-in-law's funeral. The one that didn't happen that would have knocked those into a cocked hat was the one where I was, luckily, only doing about 10 mph as I came down the road looking for a parking space and, even more luckily, started to pull into one without reversing when a motorcycle came along the other way, on the wrong side of the road, round the slight bend, at about 60 mph and touched my driver's wing mirror. My passenger never even saw any of it, it was so fast, but I knew that could so easily have been a fatality for the motorcyclist and, quite possibly, a through the windscreen job. There was not even a central white line for guidance in the middle of the road. The last time I visited the road, my sister having moved, I parked on it quite near to West Dulwich Station and wondered why the South Circular was at a standstill one way, with no traffic coming the other way, and found out another cyclist had been killed by a lorry yards from West Dulwich Stn, I resolved there and then never to park there again lest my own good luck should finally run out there.

Whilst the 31 is very busy at the Camden Town end, where it is pretty much on it's own, the Westbourne Park/ Notting Hill section is over bussed and TfL really need to come up with a better solution. As for the 94, the thinking seems to be that when Crossrail opens it will free up capacity on the Central Line.
