Here's one to think about,( or maybe not). Routes heading to the same terminus, but pass each other along the way going in opposite directions. Example; 307 and 191 both going to Brimsdown pass in opposite directions along Southbury Road. Also; 128 and 247 to Romford Station at the police station end of Barkingside High Street. 498 and 193 to Queens Hospital at Romford Station.

One of the more annoying situations where a common stop would be ideal, especially where journey times are comparable.
Queenstown Road, Battersea - 156 and 452 towards Vauxhall Sangley Road, Catford East - 181 and 284 towards Lewisham, though you'd probably wait for the 181 regardless.
If the road is straight, it helps if you can wait somewhere with a good vantage point - I often do this when I'm too lazy to check Countdown after a shift at QB.

At Brunel University, the U2 heads towards Uxbridge in the opposite direction to the U4/U7 (and the U1 although that doesn't terminate at Uxbridge). 140 and H12 at South Harrow Station on their way to Harrow Weald. H12 doesn't terminate at Harrow Weald. However in the same area; 182 and 186 to Brent Cross pass each other at Tyburn Lane stop in Harrow Town Centre. Yeah was going to say 182/186 also pass each other between Wealdstone and Hindes Road, and between Harrow Bus Station and Northwick Park Hospital.

Not the same terminus, but the 62 and 368 towards Chadwell Heath both go opposite ways in Barking.
The 296 and 128 head opposite ways towards Romford in Ilford.
The 366 and 169 towards Barking head opposite ways in Ilford town centre.

Being slightly cheeky taking advantage of the circulars.. at Harrow Town Centre both the H9/H19 head towards Harrow in the opposite direction to the 223/483/H17 (and of course H10/H18).

Southborough Library bus stop where bus 336 to Bromley South station but other side of bus stop where bus 208 is also going to Bromley South Station too! Stranger! but thank god for the bus countdown app, so you can check who come first. :-)

The 135 and 277 pass each other along East Ferry Road on the way to Crossharbour as the former has just turned out of Spindrift Avenue to go round Isle of Dogs while the latter is just turning in from Westferry Road.

The outbound 185 and 436 run together between Vauxhall and Camberwell Green then on their same journeys approach Lewisham from opposite directions.

180 runs in the opposite direction along Harrow Manorway towards Woolwich to the 244 and 469. If/when Crossrail opens, you can add the 472 to the 244 and 469. The curious thing here is that the 180 follows the traditional routeing.
Also post Crossrail, the 472 will serve a different side of the road along Crossway towards Woolwich and North Charlton to the 177.

Also 221 and 232 along Station Road (New Southgate).
