The 33 and 72 were DD till the early 1990s. It was in '92 the routes went SD and the 9A was created.
I still think the most likely outcome will be the MMCs go elsewhere with older SDs for the 209. Same with the potential 110 to Hammersmith.

The new 110 would really benefit from running with long E200MMCs, the overcrowding on the rouet will be absurb if TFL use exiisting E200s or short E200MMCs, given the direction TFL are going in, I sense they will go for less frequent buses with more capacity for the 110 once extended to Hammersmith

A frequency increase for the E8 to every 6 minutes.
In the AM Peak this is badly needed because buses are so chronically overcrowded, often leaving people behind. The route serves at least five high schools so is swamped with school kids, and the existing frequency can't cope with the immense demand, with huge crowds waiting at Hanwell Broadway for the route, and many disappointed. Towards Hounslow there's a definite need for a higher frequency to meet demand. Towards Ealing Broadway, a higher frequency will also be needed when the 427 is mindlessly hacked back to Southall. I actually think the E8 is in some respects a better candidate for a frequency increase to mitigate the loss of the 427 than the 207 or 607 is. This is because there is certainly scope for a higher frequency along the whole route, and it would separate out longer and shorter distance travelers along the Uxbridge Road a little more, with people in Southall getting on a 207, and people in Hanwell having the choice of a 207, 483 or E8 (of course there's the 607 too). However, off peak, I would have the E8 run every 9 minutes as off peak the demand isn't there. The PM peak doesn't need a higher frequency as much, of course schoolkids get kicked out earlier than rush hour, but a higher frequency for the purposes of the Uxbridge Road corridor wouldn't go amiss.

Or a school route with a PVR of 5.
