Maybe a N159 could be introduced to Marble Arch or join it to the N94 to Acton Green. The 159 is already 24 hour running between Marble Arch and Streatham. However, I know many members of this forum are unhappy with the current N109/N159 situation. Furthermore, frequncies must be considered before fusing two routes together. The 94 has 6bph between midnight and 1 am, in the same space of time the 159 has 5bph. Then for the next hour the 94 drops to 2bph whilst the 159 drops to 4bph. For the hour after that, the 94 remains at 2bph whilst the 159 drops to 3bph and so on. The point I'm making is that the frequencies of the two routes don't match With the (N)159 I was referring to what Vjaska had said about it being bad that there would be no night routes from Oxford Street south of Waterloo if the 159 gets cut to Oxo. Manintaing the night service to Marble Arch under the N159 number would atleast address that. With the Night tube, 148 and N207 I doubt it will be long before the the N94 is brought down to every 20 mins every night.

I would give the 77 an all night service as it links Waterloo with Vauxhall, Clapham, Wandsworth and Earlsfield , all key places served by trains from Waterloo.
Also I’d extend the N21 to Dartford.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the 94N has been on 2bph nightly since September 2017. Even before the Night Tube cut, the 94 saw a 15 minute frequency on weekend nights.

I thought the N94 had already dropped. With the central line paralleling it from Oxo to Shepherds Bush I would have been surprised if it had escaped. I think with the reduction to the N9 now all the proposed freq reductions have now happened such as the N91/N155 etc as TFL gave them a stay of execution after the night tube had opened.

Night buses were great and really fast flowing up to a few years ago, now they can be a pain in the ass. Some Night routes I have done such as the N199 is a killer especially on weekends. If I was stuck in the city and no tube went to my destination, I'd rather take uber than a night bus.

I would give the 77 an all night service as it links Waterloo with Vauxhall, Clapham, Wandsworth and Earlsfield , all key places served by trains from Waterloo. Also I’d extend the N21 to Dartford. As a night driver of several night routes in the Central to South-East area I think TFL really need to review running times. The introduction of all these 20mph zones is great but when the running times do not reflect these then anyone wonders why some routes are constantly running late. Ill give some examples; N136 - northbound the running time is fine, southbound (towards Chislehurst), in the week there is 23 minutes allocated to get from OXC to Vauxhall, 15 minutes would be ample (weekends some trips are given 30+ minutes over this section) meaning its very slow until Vauxhall, its a gentle cruise to New Cross then from there to Chislehurst you get about 37 minutes (this is the busiest section), you then hit the lengthy 20mph section from Bromley Road - Mottingham Road which reduces time. If we had 8 minutes of the time at the Central section and gave it to the New Cross to Chislehurst section then it would be less of an initial crawl which would then entice people to use it more often. N21 - Those who know this is a busy route, trips are anything between 56 - 65 minutes in the week, with minimum stand at each end, its not realistic when you factor in Bexley Village, Eltham High st and the Citys 20mph limits. N171 - This route is always very busy and well used but with most trips at 45 - 52 minutes and minimum standtime its again unrealistic and late running is very common, the route now has more 20mph zones than 30mph zones, yet like the rest the running times have not changed. N343 - Most trips are anything from 53 - 70 minutes, the majority of the route is now under 20mph zones yet the running time can only really be achieved by driving at about 12mph to avoid having to stop and be potentially running early. A review of the night routes is needed as soon as possible. Id also add these in; N21 extended to Dartford (from Bexleyheath Shopping Centre via the 96 to Dartford Station) - This is believe will gain some use, Atik (new name for Zens) is open a few nights a week and most of the people that go there are from the Bexley and Sidcup areas who are forced to use unreliable and expensive minicabs at £20-30 a go. N132 not needed, carries fresh air and runs with the N21. N269 new route following 269 to Bexleyheath then 229 to Thamesmead, as a resident of Bexley ive lost count of times I could do with a night link from Bromley to Sidcup and Bexleyheath and vice versa, no north-south links meaning to go from Bexleyheath to Thamesmead at night its an awkward long detour to change at New Cross for a 53 then onto a 472. N321 extended to Swanley Asda - again another not so far away destination with people needing to travel to from work in Sidcup area, not to serve FCT but to bypass it or run via Maidstone Road route 233 (but not serving Northview Estate) to Swanley Asda, no change to 233 or 321.

Great is certainly not a word I'd use to describe these 20mph zones particularly when they achieve very little at all other than an increase in pollution.

Totally agree with your proposals. A cross SE link at night is desperately needed. An N269 and an N202 coupled with an extension of the N21 to Dartford would be ideal.

This might be controversial but maybe a weekend night service on the D3 would be good. It serves 4 Night tube stations (Wapping,Shadwell,Whitechapel and Bethnal Green) and also provides unique links.

I think the N132 is probably most used from NG to Eltham and that's about it as as said the N21 parallels it all the way to Bexleyheath. Without wanting to deprive anywhere of a night service but is the N21 needed weeknights to Bexleyheath from Eltham. It would still have a weekend night service with the 132.

How about diverting N87 through Waterloo? That'd then make it awkward for the N87 to serve Trafalgar Square where it gets quite a bit of custom although I guess it could cross Waterloo Bridge, serve Aldwych and then head down the Strand but that'd cause a lot of confusion with passengers and I don't think diverting the N87 via Waterloo is a good idea when giving the 77 a night service opens up new night links whilst retaining existing ones
