Agree with the 75 too for a night link between Lewisham, Catford, Penge and Croydon. A weekend night service for the 96 could be useful as well to get people home to Bexleyheath and Woolwich from the popular night life scene in Dartford. The Bluewater section obviously eliminated though.

Does anyone know why the 75 night service was withdrawn? Obviously, numbers come into it, but was it because they dropped (dramatically, or less so) or that the expected take-up never came? Also, was 'safety' (of passengers and staff) a factor? I always feel you have to make twice the case to restore something that was seen as a failure before, without extenuating circumstances.

The Bluewater section obviously eliminated though. I would like the 96 to have a 24/7 service. I do see a need for it to run to Bluewater, because there are facilities there open until around 130am at weekends, plus you have the hospital as well. In addition the H12 could do with a weekend night service, which would provide onward travel from Stanmore night tube plus give Rayners Lane, Hatch End & Headstone Lane a night link. Also would help HD drivers and staff get to and from work.

The 77 could be proven useful with a 24-hour service but with it extended beyond Tooting Station via the 127 to Wallington or Purley, the night element therefore becoming the N77. At least the confusion for passengers will be low unlike when it followed the old day time 77A route.

276 is always busy and links two hospitals so could be good for staff with early / late starts.

The reason the night service was withdrawn is because less than 100 people in total were using the service in both directions between 1am and 4am each weekday. Another reason was to provide more frequent services on the route in the evenings and during Sunday shopping hours.

The N213 supposedly only had 29,000 passengers a year between Sutton and West Croydon and was discontinued. To apply that theory there are probably other nights routes that could go. 119 and 365 could easily have numbers as low as that.

Now that the 407 has been double decked, I think it is a worthy candidate for a 24 hour service, as currently Kenley, Whyteleafe and Caterham do not have a night service and it would be incredibly useful.

Yes I know but why should hospitals not have a 24hrs service that's what I would like to know

I can't see the 365 24h service being withdrawn. 365 is the only nigh routes to enter Dagenham from Romford and is well used of a evening and night most of the time.

A full daily 24 hour service on the 123 & 145, those two routes do have the highest passenger numbers out of all the weekend only night routes means they are generally well used and amount of useful links the routes provide will be a good addition to the weekday night network.
A weekend night service on the 275 to give Highams Park and Woodford Bridge areas a some sort of a night service and to connect night tube services with Central Line at Woodford & Victoria Line at Walthamstow Central.
