Regardless I don't think that tfl have enough money to be implementing night routes apart from ones that existed before Covid and had good loadings. The only one in that area I'd consider is the N114 and possibly an extension to Uxbridge Cough, N271, cough Yes that is an interesting one, withdraw the day service yet extend the night service!

But North Finchley, so...

But North Finchley, so... And its ironic since the 271N was on the chopping block around 2019. At the time I thought the N20 could be diverted via the 4 from Tufnell Park to Archway which would keep a night bus around Whittington Hospital.

The link did not exist before. I mean how is it performing in terms of passenger numbers, compared to the weekend night routes? I would guess it's mostly empty north of Highgate, especially during weeknights.

But yes it seems strange to introduce a new night route there when others recently had their service withdrawn like the N145

The N271 provides a useful link from North and East Finchley to the City of London though The city of London is dead late at night, no one is commuting post midnight for work. You also have (N)43, N5, N20 etc with hopper for the same connections. Not sure why North Finchley is the centre of the universe in tfl land!

Also people do commute from the city of London at night. They're called night workers or those who finish late at night like around 1am
