If people were sick and tired of it then the Tories wouldn't have been handled one in the elections. Hopefully most people vote on more important issues than party/beergate? Labour didn't do particularly well either, Lib Dems and the greens were the real winners. Labour were the real winners as they won the most councillors.

Personally, he is correct in that the Lib Dems did gain the most out of it but he then follows it up with incorrect statements like “Labour didn’t do well”. Labour didn’t achieve some of their goals but it was by no means a poor showing which even the Daily Mail admitted - if that result is repeated at a general election (no guarantee of course just for balance), then we’d be sitting here with a hung parliament consisting of Labour and Lib Dems and/or SNP and/or Greens whereas the Tories would be looking for a new leader and out of government

We will see if the fur flies in PMQs today... I very much doubt anything will happen, we've seen how the police couldn't catch a cold, so this is virtue signalling from them both. Boris likes having Starmer or Rayner as his opposition, it's a constant re-run of the Brighton and Man United game every Wednesday Kier does not have to do much to influence Boris, this is the most "Labour" Tory Administration I have seen for some time... re nationalising of trains, a spend on buses is something no one else would have taken on (though they have to return to Tory traits like cost of living, a soupçon of sleaze and the hated Universal Credit), if Labour were in charge we'd either be back in the EU, or be learning Russian by now as Corbyn forces a compromise to our latest threat (we all know "Great British Railways" is just a TFL style system with a livery but still private operators for the trains )

Do you work for the Daily Mail? He may end up asking if you work for Daily Mirror... Not really because as I’ve explained before, I’m not a Labour supporter and have criticised them several times on here plus I don’t actually read the Mirror or most newspapers anyway. I could however also accuse you of reading the Mail given you only want to moan about Labour on here - the big difference you have over him is you aren’t a troll looking for an argument but a decent person 😉

I hardly click on any Daily Mail, Observer, Guardian news links. I do not buy any newspapers, have not in years! I tend to read Metro (as it is free). Online would be BBC London, Evening Standard, local Newspaper websites

Sadiq has announced that 20,000 people have died in London since the start of the Pandemic. My thoughts are with the family and friends of those who are no longer with us

I noticed in Crouch End & Muswell Hill a lot more “I’m voting for Liberal Democrat” in what is very much Labour territory so you could be right on that. I did vote Conservative admittedly this time around not based on partygate but generally how they’ve done as a council & for me Barnet Council have been well run under the Conservatives since 1998 so I was completely happy to vote Daniel Thomas back in although certainly partygate has left some peoples opinions on the Tories tainted. I personally will not be voting Boris Johnson back in nor will I be voting Keir Starmer next election I think that is part of the Hornsey & Wood Green constituency, which was Liberal Democrat for a while.

Went to Canary Wharf this afternoon first post covid and the place was really buzzing! Lots of workers back in the offices grabbing food and socialising.
Would also recommend a visit to the roof garden at the Elizabeth Line station if that’s your thing.

Although my Elizabeth Line ride will be a through journey from Abbey Wood to central London, I might use the DLR and Jubilee changing at Canary Wharf to see it.

When you go there on a Monday or Friday its as dead as a bat, while Fridays the area seems to be used more for socialising than by workers.

Wednesdays are quite busy too.
Mondays and Fridays are bliss indeed, not as many people travelling and not as many people in the office. Such a good vibe on Fridays too. I do like the quieter office overall it must be said (usually go in every day).
I also thought it was considered a bit douchey to make Monday and Friday your wfh day, but guess I’m wrong!
