Anyone know why the 161 nearly always has 100% MMC on any given day, while other PD routes have a mixture of different buses? As mentioned up the thread the latest contracts are more specific about vehicles to be used. PD previously used to be more any bus will do. This is no longer the case. Thanks for clearing that up

Nothing to say that, the 173 sees Diesels every now and again I can't remember which route was first but it seemed after a couple of years hybrids started to stray and diesels still appearing on hybrid routes. I guess as electrics are becoming more common then strays either way will occur more.

Diesel strays were common at garages with smaller allocations. I would expect if TL re-blind any buses Hybrids may stray every so often on the 160. I wouldn’t be surprised if Routes 47 & 199 end up with them occasionally because they are end on Routes easy to swap a bus on the forecourt. I would expect the Electric buses bound for PD for the 180 will be route bound as it is to be part allocation. I think the 357 has not seen a diesel since it was made fully Electric.

A quick look on LVF sees that the 357 has seen two diesel workings since July 2020 with both of them was a WVN and were on the route towards the end of the day.

That was probably when 357 was operating with WVNs allocated at the time WVN10 was used on the 357 at the beginning of November 2020 and that was out for the whole evening and then WVN14 turned up on the route a month later where it was out for about a few hours at the end of the day, both of those workings are after the 357 was fully electrified.

Cambridge Open top 13808 is currently on loan to Bow Garage for use on the CitySightseeing tours in London. This bus has now received Sightseeing London vinyls. I spotted this from a distance at Bow Roundabout this morning.

I spotted this from a distance at Bow Roundabout this morning. Would really like to see that be permanent. Am a fan of those Open Top B5TLs that operate on Cambridge Sightseeing, the 599 in Windemere and the Lothian City Sightseeing Tour Services.

If covid-19 restrictions have to be reintroduced at some level, this could include the return of the school extras in September or October.
