I really wouldn’t read much into one day especially at the weekend. The 262 and 472 used to have good and bad days. I expect the 97 will need support for the duration of the contract. I definitely agree with you, I just wish something could be done about the unreliability of the Streetdecks... I do wonder if LI can perhaps keep a few extra Gemini 2's, that are compliant to be able to help, obviously the 10 reg ones are already starting to get withdrawn so therefore wouldn't be suitable. Why would they need to keep Gemini 2s when they have plenty of E400s that are being used now. Who knows what will happen in the futute? more spare hybids are likley to become spare from other routes.

Apparently the 257 is also due Electroliners at T garage. Referring to the 275, it could well take the Hybrid MMCs from the 257 but there is only 7 which would not cover the PVR. Think the 275 is up for tender next year anyways? Can I ask how you know what the 257 is due? It was mentioned on here by a member who works for the company some time ago. Think it is on this thread but cannot recall 😉

Not much you can do- think of it as railway replacement - would you rather have a driver who trashes and gets u to places, and forgets to turn of the engine at the stand occasionally, or a driver that gets u there 10 min late, but always has the engine turned off not too much of a bother anyways - it is ever so creepy to spend your time as a normal person, who hates buses, filming them and the driver having their smoke break outside the bus. And to note down the fleetnumber and time as well? Thats just downright creepy I haven't watched all the videos but if they didn't note the fleet number then it would be difficult to trace the driver. Engines should be switched off and if drivers don't do that there's likely to be repercussions. The only possible reason I can see for keeping an engine running is if it's cold. It doesn’t matter if it’s cold, engine idling is an offence under section 42 of the Highway Code and absolutely should be bought to the companies attention, if not the police. I have lived across the street from a bus stand before and put in dozens of complaints about drivers idling at night after 11pm. It would stop for a week but then start again. Always the same few as well that I described down to a tee. I’ve moved now so I no longer hear buses idling but it often kept me awake, when combined with this companies less than reputable repair history you can only imagine the noise.

I agree it's unacceptable to have engines running especially at that time of night and I can understand the person in Eltham filming buses on the 124 if that's what it takes to get something done about it.

Also I believe andyc confirmed the W13 will get a BZL DD, so it makes sense if it also gets BZL SDs with the W14, for a common fleet with the 276 and 58, given they are the same lengths and the route will be able to take them on.

The offence relates to Section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and refers to Regulation 98 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 - see www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1986/1078/regulation/98/made
