Could someone explain what the Silvertown Cycle Bus route is? What garage is it running from? Where is it getting it's electrics from?

If the route has a PVR of 3 buses, that takes 3 buses away from the 323 despite having a PVR of 4 so , will it require new buses after all?

This is assuming the tunnel opens first.....
I am surprised the 323 losing its current buses has not caused much speculation here. Stagecoach will need at least 4? electrics from somewhere...

Looks like it’ll need a small top up of new vehicles, no way will it go back to diesels surely I think it’ll get a top up of a few new BZLs. I wonder if it’ll lose all 5 BYDs, if not it could very well be the smallest PVR route ever to have a split type allocation

The BYDs will be specially converted for the role and will not be available for use on standard bus routes so I would expect all five to be converted. Or maybe convert four to start off with and hold one in reserve for if the service needs to be increased.

Stagecoach has been awarded the new Silvertown Tunnel Bike Shuttle contract and will use existing buses from 323 which will be retrofitted to accommodate cycles Can regular passengers use the route?

Maybe they plan to bid for the D6 using BZLs. The Volvos seem very popular with drivers with workings on the W13 , W14 and 488 especially in the late evenings when more buses are spare.

No, it will be for cyclists only. The terminals will be situated next to signposted cycle routes. Sounds quite silly, how are they going to police it if its free? It's for carrying cyclists and their bikes from one end of the tunnels to the other. Why would a casual passenger want to use it? Seats will be removed to create space for the bikes.
