Those DWs are older whereas the HVs are roughly the same age as these DWs. No different to when Route 73 was half DW & half HV. Most garages now have at least 2 or more types operating out of there. DW542-554 + HV49-56 is 21 The HVs due to be released are 11reg, while the DWs on the 144/401 are 61reg, so more or less the same age. The 466 was also awarded on the basis of diesels, so makes sense to use DWs/Ts there which are already common at TC. With Arriva's HVs, I think they should have simply swapped the on-paper batches between the 301 and 335. The older 11reg would have been fine for the 301, which was awarded on the basis of using similarly-aged 61reg DWs. While the newer 62reg would likely be compliant for a new contract on the 335. There's no problem with TC gaining 62 reg HVs directly as it would save costs.

would it be better to send HV38-45 to Wood Green and send same the DW'S from Route 144 to the 466 as Route 301 is allocated HV46-56 and also to send ENX2-6 to Tottenham to replace the 57 Reg EN'S and ENL'S.

Once again no problem with sending HVs to the 466.

I see what you me know I didn't know about the 318 Very tight turns on backstreets in Tottenham and Stamford Hill, in a way, the well worn buses suit the route as they fit in with the battle scarred Toyota Estimas and Transit minibuses of the locals in Stamford Hill I think the Streetlites off the 410 would be a good fit. Occasionally Wood Green and Enfield send MMCs to help out the Antiques Roadshow

Does seem a bit strange to introduce a small number of HVs at TC. Could perhaps have swapped them to the 144 to release HVs, or even keep them at DT (e.g. for the 401) to send more DWs to the 466. That was one option I had considered, but thought DT keeping the HVs and sending DWs to TC was the most likely. As someone that likes variety rather than standardisation, you won't hear me complaining. Maybe with the Croydon tenders coming up, and given hopefully Arriva have some idea how central London bus changes will affect their fleet, this may indicate further HVs could be heading this way if they are successful in gaining contracts ... then again ... could mean nothing. If allegedly an unused garage in North London is being retrofitted with electric charging facilities (I assume Stamford Hill), there could be plans for the 73 and 243 as central London routes to go fully electric in future, that could allow HVs to move and replace older stuff if required. (Speculation ) ULEZ comes into force in outer London (N and S Circular roads) in October

I wonder if Arriva are hoping for a retain on the 253 and 254 and SF could feature?

Why would it be foolish? OK there is an expense involved, but with all garages seemingly being converted, it is cheaper, quicker and easier to install charging infrastructure if the premises is not being used.

I was thinking of getting a new car but some prices are silly.
Sorry very off topic

Sorry very off topic Could you blame them. After all many people are also taking a loss selling diesel cars, mainly in London. I have never bought a diesel car in my life, never saw the sense in them, even from the days of college we they lectured on how bad they were, still never understood the massive uptake on it, just because it gave you more miles per gallon. It was a joke, they would have probably use arsenic powered cars if they gave 2000mpg back then.

Sorry very off topic The cameras have been put up in all parts of London that the boundary will be in. A friend of mine that lives in Clapham showed me a picture of where some cameras have been put up around Poynders Road. October is going to be very interesting. Also with the buses too.
