Do all the WN vehicles have blinds for the 329. If I’m not mistaken AD blinds include WN routes. The Gemini 2 HVs have all AD routes on them not sure about the Ts and Gemini 3s I believe that AD vehicles have 144 on them and their own routes and WN have 141 on them and their own routes if that makes sense

There is a few blindsets at [WN] many of them the Gemin 2 would have 141 but they do not have 329 or other [AD] routes

Some pics taken on Sunday after HA11 was done at Edmonton. I was shocked that they TfL had our old logo for it. As all were not finished as of yesterday it may see some enter service in normal red. ![](https://i.ibb.co/4m3W6dD/IMG-20231205-WA0005.jpg) ![](https://i.ibb.co/qkgM786/IMG-20231205-WA0004.jpg) ![](https://i.ibb.co/7XdwTFN/IMG-20231205-WA0003.jpg) At Palmers Green transferred from Edmonton ![](https://i.ibb.co/YRvSqDC/IMG-20231205-WA0007.jpg)

Amazing to think they only finished on the 78 this time last week.

Arriva UK Bus colleagues are celebrating after taking home lots of trophies at the UK Bus Awards - one of the public transport industry’s most prestigious awards that recognise, reward and inspire the people that work in the bus industry.
Alistair Hands, Managing Director, Regions, said: “We are thrilled with our performance at the UK Bus Awards this year.
“It’s so important that our colleagues are recognised for their fantastic work and professionalism and I think it’s indicative of our values at Arriva that we’ve succeeded particularly in categories which are centred on being part of the community and working well with local authorities.
“We have always worked well with councils and other partners and it is wonderful that the committed and dedicated staff who proudly serve their communities and customers have been rewarded.”
Let’s have a look at the Arriva winners!
Partnership for Excellence: The Peter Huntley Memorial Award
Arriva North East, Go North East, Nexus, and Stagecoach North East, 2022 Great North Run - gold
It was first over the finish line for the UK Bus team who worked alongside Go Northeast, Nexus and Stagecoach to collaborate on the passenger transport for the 2022 Great North Run, which sees around 45,000 people taking part each year. As a result of the collaboration, which won gold in the Partnership for Excellence category, there was a 10% increase in people using public transport thanks to the creation of a special ticket for the event that could be used on all local transport.
Leicester City Council with Arriva, Centrebus, First Bus, Kinchbus - bronze
Leicester City Council, Arriva, Centrebus, FirstBus, Kinchbus, Roberts Travel and Stagecoach formed the Leicester Buses Enhanced Partnership in May 2022. Its aim is to make bus travel electric, frequent, reliable, easy and great value. The partnership is legally committed to 100 goals over a 3-year period. By August, the partners announced that they already delivered 75 goals and are on track to deliver the rest by May 2024.
London Bus Garage of the Year
Croydon, Arriva London - silver
All at Croydon garage focus on giving the best possible service for the customer and that’s seen them hit all their key metrics, including consistently exceeding network results on London’s Customer Experience Survey. The team has created a learning culture, where all colleagues to ask questions, provide feedback and strive for the best, including a focus on Driver Quality Assessments, where high scorers are placed onto the Croydon Hall of Fame. The garage takes wellbeing seriously, encouraging health check-ups at their wellbeing kiosk and holding events such as Walk for Wellbeing.
Bus and the Community
Arriva North East, Go North East, Nexus and Stagecoach North East – Care Experienced Travel - silver
Another partnership won at the UK Bus Awards; Care Experienced Travel was a collaboration between Arriva, Go Northeast, Nexus and Stagecoach, which saw the operators come together and work with the NHS to provide free travel for young people who’d been brought up in local authority care.
After a pilot in 2022, the scheme was rolled out further this year and now 1500 young people aged 18-25 have the passes, with 39% saying that the pass has helped them to stay in work. The scheme won silver in the Bus and the Community category.
West Yorkshire Bus Alliance: Youth Engagement Programme – silver
The West Yorkshire Bus Alliance Youth Engagement Programme is a practical partnership between West Yorkshire Combined Authority, its five district councils and bus service operators. The programme engaged 10,500 young people to date to develop their skills and confidence for employment and their engagement with the bus network. The programme has included youth forums where young people can share what's important to them about travel, careers panels, competitions and free science and maths resources. As a result of the partnership, 70% said they were more aware of career options in the travel sector and 75% said they understood the environmental benefits of bus travel.
Luke Rees-Pulley Award for Top London Bus Driver
Thomas Brade, Arriva London - bronze
Thomas Brade, who’s based at Enfield depot, took home bronze in the Top London Bus Driver category. Thomas, who’s been with Arriva for 21 years, has received commendations on every Bus Customer Experience Survey he’s had. He’s also known for his fantastic customer service, receiving a commendation from the parent of one of his passengers, a teenage with autism who’s recently begun using the bus to get to school and feel much more confident thanks to his support.
Top Express Service
X6 Leicester-Coventry – Arriva East and South Midlands bronze
When the X6 service between Leicester and Coventry suddenly stopped one morning in the summer of 2020 because the operator had gone into administration, passengers didn’t need to wait long until the route was back in service. Just two days after it ended, the X6 was back up and running and being operated by Arriva. Since then, the team – who are now bronze winners in the Top Express Service category – have created a more direct route between the two cities, liaising with the local universities and NHS Trusts whose buildings lie on the route to make sure it serves the needs of regular commuters.
Punctuality Spirit
Although it didn’t take home any awards, the judges highly commended our Arriva East and South ‘Punctuality Spirit’ project. It was a highly focused, intensive, multi-disciplinary deep-dive looking to bring early running to below 1%, with the pilot at High Wycombe seeing early running decrease by 75%.

An impressive effort all around! Amazing to think they only finished on the 78 this time last week. They do not take that long to wrap. I was surprised at how quick an LT was done at Clapton garage a few years ago. A spreadover bus came in and was done in a few hours with a team of 3 people and ready to go back out in the afternoon peak.

Out of curiosity, why does the SL1 need 15 buses for a PVR of 11? Surely 12 or 13 would be enough, and would allow as many as possible to be spare Should be 2% spares, yes higher than normal, but this is what was initially earmarked, I do not believe all spares would be wrapped. I imagine 14/15 are 'repaint' spares and will move on when HA1-13 are all wrapped
