Quite a devastating blow for DT, very taken back by it. Got to admit also shocked by us retaining the W4's. 141 less so, certainly will be interesting to see an almost fully electric AD in the near future Who else would've bidded for the W4? Also quite a few hybrids going to be made spare. The Gemini 2's and maybe the ex- Stagecoach HVs might leave but it will be interesting to see where the slightly younger HVs will go

I know it’s early but could the DWs on the 99 or 269 or 401 stay at DT and replace the T’s on the 428?

I reckon there might be enough 200 and 300 series HV's that will become spare to make up the bulk of what would be needed at GY and DX assuming the 123 and 41's DW's don't get decommissioned . Rest maybe sold for some quick liquidity? I think the 64 Reg Ex Stagecoach HV's and the HA's are a bit of a question mark, the HV's were recently refurbished and they do have a little more life in them, similarly the SL1 HA's also have a bit of life left in them although have yet to be refurbished A lot of variables at play here it seems

Since 341 and 141 getting new buses enough hybrids for GY and DX routes and still be enough spare. Looks like 329 be next to be retained existing hybrids maybe from 141

They don't need to send it to other operators they can do that inhouse

I know it’s early but could the DWs on the 99 or 269 or 401 stay at DT and replace the T’s on the 428? That set of results will make the vast majority of the DWs at DT redundant, and really there isn’t all that long left on the 428 contract. I suspect the early-ish Ts will go to the end of the contract and then be removed, with the big presumption that Arriva keep the route.

It has just dawned to me now that the 141 has been retained with electrics, that Gemini 2 hybrid stuff will now be slowly disappearing from around my area on the 102 😳. How times quickly change.
Probably should make the most of HVs before they move on or worse fall apart further. Same are hit and miss but fairly fond of the late series HV80 stuff.

There has been around 5 routes they have not bid for, some they used to operate.

It would be the first time in some years the 141 would receive a full allocation of new buses, instead of cast off's
