I thought Arriva would go for 'SES' something like that as the fleet code for the Wright GB Electroliner Kite EVs but instead, they will have the 'EGL' fleet code. EGL1 - EGL11 will be the future allocation for the 255 route. So, once one arrives it will be a case of The EGL has landed Wonder if any will be named "Eddie"?

Not gonna lie EGL is a pretty good guess and I wouldn’t be surprised if that were to be the actual fleet code

My assumption is the code will be EKL or EWL

ES is Arriva’s Wright Electroliner DD code ( Electric Streetdeck presumably) I get the ‘L’, that’s what Arriva use at the end of their 10.2m vehicles, like ENL which are the code for 10.2m E200s (although here E means Enviro rather then Electric) I reckon it will be: ’EKL’ for 10.2m Wrightbus Kite SDs ’EKX’ for 10.9m Wrightbus Kite SDs (if they ever order them)

Also slightly pedantic but the E stands for Electroliner not just Electric

I thought the first litter in Arriva’s fleet codes were the fuel type (not saying you’re wrong it’s pretty ambiguous ) You’ve got: HA - Hybrid Alexander/ADL HT - Hybrid Trident (continuation of the diesel T class) EA - Electric ADL ES - Electric StreetDeck? I guess it doesn’t really matter they could give a StreetDeck the code of ‘QXW’ if they wanted but it wouldn’t mean anything 😂

Overall for the 255 fleet I wouldn’t be surprised if they are coded EKL I could be wrong following on from the current ENL.

Any reasons as to why T11 / T43 are (thankfully) still roaming around the streets of South London? I would have thought they could have transferred a few LJ61 T's off W3 to replace these buses, or even an HV to Dartford to replace T11.

It probably won’t be withdrawn until electrics begins service at TH
