217 would be up for tender in 2027. I do see them winning 298 with HAs along with the 231 617/629. 217s contract expires in 2029 not 2027. It could end in 2027 if it doesn't get the extension.

I don't know what category to put this in but apparently all routes in TH will have their schedules changed next month for the electric buses. Not sure about the 64 though. 410s schedules will change in August when they move to TC.

Can't wait to see the Vision Zero spec of Arriva's Electroliners, though I wonder whether the back display will be a full-sized LCD display similar to what the 133 and 242 batch have received, unless Arriva did not go for that!

What's happened to AE is it being used for storage or have TFL let Stagecoach use it?

What's happened to AE is it being used for storage or have TFL let Stagecoach use it? I believe that Stagecoach now can use the full space of AE which would explain how they won the D7 and 242 and plan to move the 277 and 323 in.

Something like that would be good for the high profile Central London routes like the 243 and 341! Hopefully the blinds get programmed properly. Have they even ordered the Electroliners yet? There's a whole heap of electrics incoming for North London

It is not eligible for a 2 year extension, 7 year contracts are fixed length with a 4 year break clause. So it’s just 7 years without 2 year extension only the 5 year contracts are allowed 2 year extension? Yes that's correct. The last 5 year contracts including the possibility of an extension were the 125, 235, 55, 335, 432, 415, U5, most of which have been handed back. Routes like the 13, 111, 433 are on fixed 7 year contracts as they started their new contracts after 6th April 2022. The 304 is the exception to the rule, being a contract due to start in 2018 which was delayed until 2022 and has now been handed back. Any contract which started after 6th April 2022 cannot receive a 2 year extension, regardless of the performance or contract length. However, it has been mentioned that the recent 6 year contracts (P4, 380, 309, 388, 272, 440, 237 etc) can receive a one year extension if the current electrification deadline of 2030 is pushed back, or if they convert to electric operation mid-tender due to losses of other electric routes on tender.

There's a whole heap of electrics incoming for North London I don't think there's been an official order placed for the routes! However Electroliners seem to be the best bet as they have not been going for any other model! If they change models, I wonder if they will switch to the BZL, or go back to the E400 EV which is quite unlikely or even the BD11 BYDs!

Whatever is ordered, they shouldn't be stuck in Edmonton garage gathering dust (or this time of year, pollen) like the 64's Electroliners did. They could stick them in Stamford Hill which is electrified and not far from line of route for the 243. Let's see what materialises on 17th August Perhaps they were waiting for the iSquared takeover to kick in before ordering anything else, DB wouldn't have wanted to pick up the tab for it. I wonder if any HV's will get retrofitted LED blinds like TUK are doing to their existing buses due for refurb? They could refurb them prior to them moving to the 66 and other routes

If Sullivan do want to leave the TFL market before the 4 year break clause, I wouldn't be surprised if they just novate the 217 to another operator (as well as the 605/606). Similar to when EB and HE closed. In which case PB could be likely, reducing the distance for drivers to move to.
