My thoughts were based on the reason for the route not just one stop. (The stop was well used by those waiting for other routes.) Other routes parallel the 205 along the way. Times change. So what, the route still provides very important links... have you seen how busy the route can get? I have seen how busy it gets on some sections. My point is that it isn't over the full length.

No route stays busy the entire length unless they end at major terminuses like Stratford, Brixton etc. The 18 usually empties out around Wembley Central, does that mean there's some wrong with the 18 since the majority don’t get off at Sudbury?

395: Rerouted via Harrow-on-the-Hill Station, to give Lowlands Road a bus link H11: Extended to Northwick Park Hospital, for stand space for Superloop 2 and to link Harrow Town Centre with Northwood
182/483/N18: Rerouted via Northwick Park Hospital grounds as the new road layout makes it possible to serve in both ways

What sections exactly? I have lived and grew on the 205 route all my life and its packed to rims length for the crazy long journeys I do on it from Whitechapel to Warren Street or King’s Cross to Paddington. I can’t comment on the Whitechapel-Bow section but the 205 is perfect at what it does.

Proposed changes to routes 215 & 379: 215: Withdrawn between Lea Valley Road & Lea Valley Campsite, extended to Waltham Cross via the 313 to Ponders End & 279 to Waltham Cross. Enables some useful new links & gives the 279 an additional support route between Ponders End & Waltham Cross. 379: Extended to Lea Valley Campsite via the 215.
The only disadvantage of all of these changes is that part of Sewardstone Road would no longer have a bus service.

I think an extension of the 215 or 379 via Sewardstone and Waltham Abbey would be better as it would give Sewardstone a bus service

Not local but from an outsider looking in, the 379 is the wrong route to be modifying - it’s purpose is to provide a link from Chingford to the Yardley Lane Estate and whilst this would remain intact, the higher frequency, the removal of the long standing link from Lea Valley Campsite to places south of Chingford and the vast majority of the London section of Sewardstone Road losing any bus link at all makes it a non starter. I’m also unconvinced that the 279 needs extra assistance north of Ponders End - the 121 runs alongside for a decent chunk and I think the busier parts of the 279 coincide with that route and south of Ponders End. randomy suggestion was good but TfL wouldn’t entertain any new extension running beyond the London boundary.

258: Withdrawn between South Harrow and Harrow Bus Station (replaced by 487), extended to Greenford Broadway via Northwick Park Hospital, Sudbury Court Road, Sudbury Hill and Greenford Station, Withdrawn between Watford Junction and Bushey Heath 487: Extended from South Harrow to Harrow Bus Station to link Harrow with Harlesden and a better link to Alperton, converted to partial double deck operation H17: Extended from Harrow to Watford Junction via Wealdstone, Harrow Weald, Harrow Arts Centre, Hatch End Park, Watford Heath, Bushey Station and Watford High Street, to replace the 258 and to give Hatch End Park a bus service

The route is fine as it is (serving people through estates)

258: Withdrawn between South Harrow and Harrow Bus Station (replaced by 487), extended to Greenford Broadway via Northwick Park Hospital, Sudbury Court Road, Sudbury Hill and Greenford Station, Withdrawn between Watford Junction and Bushey Heath 487: Extended from South Harrow to Harrow Bus Station to link Harrow with Harlesden and a better link to Alperton, converted to partial double deck operation H17: Extended from Harrow to Watford Junction via Wealdstone, Harrow Weald, Harrow Arts Centre, Hatch End Park, Watford Heath, Bushey Station and Watford High Street, to replace the 258 and to give Hatch End Park a bus service I think there are some good ideas here, and I have suggested something very similar before. However if you were to reroute the 258 and 487 this way, there wouldn't be much need for the H17 alongside, as the revised 258/H17 and existing 92/182 would retain most links. You could consider additionally diverting the 487 between Sudbury Town and Alperton, to go via the H17 to Wembley Central then Ealing Road. Or could increase the 398's frequency to every 15 minutes, then extend from Wood End to Wembley Central, replacing part of the H17. This would also create some new daytime links along the proposed N518 route. Regarding the link to Watford you mention, I agree a TFL route via Carpenders Park would be very useful, but should ideally be a new route rather than an extension, and I'm not sure it should go via Wealdstone (with the 258 and Overground available). Could instead go via Hatch End and North Harrow to create some new links, either direct via George V Avenue, or via Paines Lane to serve Pinner as well. Obviously it's unlikely any such route would be funded by TFL/Hertfordshire, but a compromise could be to cut the 258 back to Bushey Heath as had been proposed, but introduce this new route alongside to maintain a Watford-Harrow bus link.

I don't see any rationale in the 258 changes and using the H17 & 487 to achieve them. I'm not convinced people from Harrow are looking for links to Alperton & especially Harlesden and IMO, the only thing the 487 needs is a full double deck conversion. Meanwhile, I don't see any need to extend the H17 and again, the exploration of a double deck (or frequency increase if a double deck conversion isn't achievable) is the only thing I could see as being a real benefit. As for a route via Watford Heath, UNO operate a Wednesday only route that serves Carpenders Park, Hatch End & Watford Heath with one trip each way which may suggest how viable a route really is especially when the Overground exists and Carpenders Park & Watford Heath already have links to Watford Junction which TfL won't exactly want to step all over.

Seems good to me, I don't know how many people travel to the campsite from Walthamstow but Chingford is nearer for rail connections.

The 279 definitely gets a lot busier North of Ponders End, and I think that shorts between Waltham Cross and Ponders End did operate a while ago. However, I wouldn't say it would necessitate an extra bus route at the expense of many people along Sewardstone Road losing a link south of Chingford. I would say that the 313 more so requires extra capacity on the solo section, which is hindered by a lack of stand space at Chingford bus station. A 215 extension to Waltham Cross would provide a lot of new links, however it is a shame that TfL are so unwilling to fund cross-border services due to the current funding structure, with both the county and London being unwilling to fund any route. I would definitely say that the 215 extension via Waltham Abbey would prove quite popular, and would be the best-case scenario.
