I wonder if the 61 is capable of handling an extension to Eltham, Southend Crescent. If so, you could extend the 126 to Woolwich via the 161 (with the 126 being fully decked) & withdraw the 161, with the 180/472 being left to handle the Woolwich-North Greenwich corridor. You could reroute the 180 as well via Woolwich Road instead of Bugsby’s Way to retain the 161’s links there. The 61 doesn't need to go to Eltham although it would be great if Orpington had a link to Eltham. Areas like Bromley and Chislehurst are already well connected to Eltham so i don't think that it would be viable. Extending the 126 over the expense of the 161 would not be great - 161 is a route that even though many routes cover its links, it sort of fills the gaps in specific sections where other links are needed, especially around Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Why does the 61 not need to go to Eltham? It's certainly a viable option although personally I think extending the 161 to Orpington with the 61 replacing the R9 as previously suggested would be the better option. The Woolwich to North Greenwich section of the 161 could be replaced by something else.

Restructure ideas for Central and North East London:
Routes 14, 19, 22, 170 and 319
14 - Withdrawn between Russell Square and Piccadilly Circus.
19 - Withdrawn between Battersea and Hyde Park Corner, instead extended to Victoria via the 38.
369 - New route between Clapham Junction and Kings Cross, via the 319 to Chelsea, 19 to Piccadilly, 14 to Russell Square and 91 to Kings Cross.
22 - Diverted between Sloane Square and Hyde Park Corner via Victoria.
319 - Withdrawn between Sloane Square and Battersea Bridge, instead extended to Victoria via the 170. To provide more capacity on this section with DDs, plus a more direct Victoria to Clapham Junction link.
170 - Withdrawn between Victoria and Battersea Bridge, instead extended to Sloane Square via the 319 (linking Battersea Village to the shops on Kings Road).
Routes 26, 38, 55, 56, 135 and 388
38 - Revised to operate between Tottenham Court Road and Walthamstow Central via the N38. Frequency reduced to every 6-7 minutes.
55 - Revised to operate between Whipps Cross and London Bridge (restoring some of the ex-48 links), via the 56 to Leyton Green, current route to Shoreditch, then the 149. Frequency reduced to every 8 minutes.
56 - Withdrawn between Whipps Cross and Clapton, instead extended to Tottenham, via Upper Clapton, Stamford Hill and Seven Sisters. Creating new links from Tottenham to Clapton and Hackney.
388 - Revised to operate between Stratford City and Oxford Circus, via current route to Ash Grove, then the 55.
26 - Diverted between Shoreditch and Ash Grove via the 388.
135 - Extended from Old Street to Holborn via the 55. Combines with the revised 388 to replace the 55's capacity on this section, plus new links. Also diverted between Shoreditch and Aldgate via Commercial Street. Could extend the 115 to Liverpool Street if needed. Could also consider swapping routeings with the D8 between Canary Wharf and Crossharbour.
Routes 242 and 243
242/243 - Swapped south of Shoreditch.
Routes 106, 253 and D6
106 - Withdrawn.
253 - Diverted between Finsbury Park and Clapton via the 106. Route 254 maintains links via Stamford Hill, with capacity also replaced by the revised 56 and 210.
D6 - Extended from Ash Grove to Homerton Hospital, via Mare Street to Hackney Central, then Morning Lane and Ponsford Street. Converted to DDs. Partly replacing the 106's capacity between Bethnal Green and Hackney. Also creates a new local link from Homerton to Cambridge Heath Road.
Routes 143, 210 and 310
143 - Extended from Archway to Finsbury Park via the 210. Possible frequency increase to every 10 minutes.
210 - Diverted between Archway and Finsbury Park via Holloway, and extended to Stamford Hill via the 310.
310 - Withdrawn.

Could the 4 perhaps divert to Piccadilly Circus (with the 56 or 476 diverting to Blackfriars to replace the 4). The 4 could additionally be sent up towards Tottenham or Wood Green to provide new links, with one of the 106,236 or 310 replacing the Finsbury Park-Archway section of the route. I don’t think the 4 is useful in its current state.

Moz I would leave the 22 & 319 as they are now & simply extend the 137 back to Oxford Circus via Oxford St. There’s no stand space for the 22 in Holborn & the 319 is long enough as it is. My replacement for the 19 would be the 4 as stated in my previous post.

Moz I'd agree with most of this, I don't think the 22 would need to go any further than Piccadilly Circus. Ideally the 137 should return to Oxford Circus and with pedestrianisation back on the agenda via Berkley Square is the only option although apparently not suitable for LT's. I'm not sure about extending the 319 to Marble Arch.

The 310 hasn’t even lasted for a month and your already planning to withdraw it 😭 Anyway, I’m not sure if you seen my proposal map for it but it goes a different way from the 210. The 210 shouldn’t be touched at all except for the Brent Cross Town development and I think 143 should be extended down the Western End and not the Eastern End.

Partly replacing the 106's capacity between Bethnal Green and Hackney. Also creates a new local link from Homerton to Cambridge Heath Road. The 254 can’t handle the capacity between Stamford Hill and Manor House alone, not to mention that you already proposed a 310 withdrawal as well. I do think though that the 308 should be split into 2 routes, 106 running between Finsbury Park and Stratford Bus Station (through 106’s current route between Finsbury Park & Clapton Pond then following 308’s way between Clapton Pond and Stratford Bus Station). Then as for the current 308, it can run from Stratford Bus Station to Wanstead or potentially extend to South Woodford. Lastly, you can divert the 67 to Whitechapel from Stoke Newington through 106’s way. A Wood Green and Clapton & Hackney link will be gained by this.

So from Manor House to Stamford Hill, there would be the 254 at every 8 minutes, and the 210 at every 10 minutes. Only a very minor reduction from the current 253 service.

I think the 19 would be an inadequate replacement for the 38 to Victoria being about a 50% reduction in frequency and the 22 might already be well loaded when it gets to Victoria going into town.

I don’t think the 4 is useful in its current state. I think this is generally a good idea - however I'm not sure if one route would be adequate between Finsbury Park and Angel. If you want to make the 4 more useful, one option could be to reroute at Angel to take over the 43 to London Bridge. Then the 56 extended to Blackfriars, and the 43 cut back to Angel? Or alternatively you could consider diverting the 341 at Angel to go via the 4/19 to Finsbury Park, then Seven Sisters Road back to the line of route at Manor House. Most links to Newington Green would be covered by the 73/141/476.

There isn’t stand space to put the 43 in Angel but I would have it terminate in Finsbury Square or Liverpool St. As the revised 4 would cover the 43’s round corner link at Angel, I would reroute the 43 via Essex Road, which would then end up replicating the 271 as far as Archway. I’m not sure what I would do with the 21 though, sending it back to Newington Green probably isn’t the best use of resources despite how heavily the 141 loads. You could even go one step further with the 43 & reroute it via Highgate Village, East Finchley & Fortis Green back to LOR at Muswell Hill, with the 234 rerouted via Muswell Hill Road, the 263 back on its old routing & the N271 withdrawn. Regarding the 341 reroute, I don’t think this is viable simply because I doubt the 141 would be able to cope on its own between Newington Green & Manor House. The Essex Road corridor is somewhat overbussed though, I do think rerouting the 476 via Highbury & Islington would be very useful.

Haven't done one of these for some time now, let me know what you think. 108: Extended in service from Lewisham Station to Molesworth Street. I agree with the 108 proposal, it's weird how it don't terminate at the shopping centre despite the buses standing there. Even weirder that 436 is the only route that starts from Molesworth Street The 108 already serves the other side of the shopping centre on the way to Lewisham station. After standing in Molesworth Street (not at present because of improvement works) it runs into the High Street and a common section with route 54 to Blackheath.
