Haven't done one of these for some time now, let me know what you think. 108: Extended in service from Lewisham Station to Molesworth Street. 126: Extended from Eltham to Woolwich via Westmount Road, Rochester Way and 122 LOR to Woolwich. 177: Frequency increased to x8 Monday to Saturday daytimes and x10 Sunday daytimes. 178: Extended from Woolwich to Thamesmead via Plumstead Road, Western Way and Central Way to stand in Thamesmere Drive. Frequency increased to x12 Monday to Saturday daytime and x15 early mornings, evenings and Sunday. 180: Start time for North Greenwich to Erith trips moved to 04:30 Monday-Saturday and 05:06 Sundays. Increased to x8 M-F peaks, x20 on Saturday and Sunday mornings and x12 Sunday daytime. 244: Increased to x10 Monday to Saturday daytimes. 301: Frequency increased to x10 Monday to Saturday daytimes. 472: 24 hour service discontinued. 647: New school route from New Cross Gate to North Greenwich via New Cross Road, Deptford Church Street, Creek Road and existing 188 LOR to North Greenwich. This would retain the link from Greenwich and Deptford to the all through school should the 188 be rerouted via Morden Wharf. N53: Extended from Whitehall to Oxford Circus via Haymarket and Regent Street. Increased to x20 Sunday to Thursday nights. N335: New night route from Kidbrooke to Tottenham Court Road via 335 LOR to North Greenwich, Silvertown Tunnel, Silvertown Way, Canning Town station, East India Dock Road and tunnel, Aspen Way, Trafalgar Way, 135 LOR to Old Street and N55 LOR to Tottenham Court Road. x30 all nights N472: New night route from North Greenwich to Abbey Wood, via existing 472 LOR to Plumstead Garage, 244 to Belmarsh and rejoining 472 to Abbey Wood. SL4: Rerouted from Blackheath Village to Canary Wharf via Prince of Wales Road, Westcombe Hill, Blackwall Tunnel Southern Approach, Tunnel Avenue, North Greenwich station, Silvertown Tunnel, Silvertown Way, Canning Town station and back onto LOR via East India Dock Road and Aspen Way. Converted to limited stop service, stopping at Grove Park station, Lee station, Burnt Ash Road/Lee Road, Blackheath station, Blackheath/Royal Standard, Westcombe Park station, North Greenwich station, Canning Town station then all stops from Wood Wharf to Westferry Circus. SL(?) from North Greenwich to Abbey Wood: Not introduced. I agree with the 108 proposal, it's weird how it don't terminate at the shopping centre despite the buses standing there. Even weirder that 436 is the only route that starts from Molesworth Street The 436 starting from there dates back to the 36 when it was withdrawn from Hither Green. In addition the 21 108 129 180 (225 & 380 excluded) were new additions to using that stand hence why they don’t pick up there. I can imagine in those days the 36 being such a popular service it having its own stop on Molesworth Street. The 108 could actually start from Lewisham Station like it did before because there are bus stands on Jerrard Street.

Fair point. I suppose you could reroute the 21 at Highbury Corner via the 19 to Finsbury Park and send the 143 down from Archway to Angel. Moz Haven't got the crayons out in a while but the 14/414 changes seem to be exciting a few people... 11 Extended from Fulham via 211 to Hammersmith 19 Withdrawn. 22 Rerouted away from Oxford Circus at Green Park via 19 to Holborn Station. 137 Rerouted away from Marble Arch at Hyde Park Corner via 22 to Oxford Circus. 211 Withdrawn. 319 Extended from Sloane Square via 137 to Marble Arch. 414 Withdrawn. 436 Extended from Battersea via 211 to Fulham Broadway. Moz Oi! If you are getting rid of the 19, at least send someting else through to Finsbury Park! (I care, because I lived in Highbury for six years and used the 19 all the time).

Some ideas that I have come up with now that the SL5 is being decked, & proposed rerouting to avoid low trees, combined with previous ideas suggested on here recently:
61: Withdrawn between Orpington & Chislehurst, diverted to Ramsden Estate via the 353. 119: Withdrawn between Hayes & Bromley North, diverted to Orpington, Walnuts centre via the 353. 161: Withdrawn between Woolwich & North Greenwich, extended from Chislehurst to Orpington station via the 61. 178: Extended to Thamesmead as previously proposed, to introduce new links & give the 161 some stand space in Woolwich. 180: Rerouted via Woolwich Road instead of Bugsby Way. 180/472 are sufficient between Woolwich & North Greenwich. 353: Withdrawn 358: Rerouted via Elmers End Road, while keeping the same PVR, therefore increasing the frequency & giving Elmers End interchange a more direct link to Bromley than the 367. 433: Double run introduced to serve Forestdale, giving that area a link to Croydon & partially replacing the 353. SL5: Rerouted via West Wickham & Hayes, converted to DD operation. Would now serve West Wickham Baptist church, High St The Grove & Hayes Station, then running non stop until Bromley South, back onto LOR.

I think the only things for me that perhaps are less optimal are : - the 126 would really need double decks if extended to Woolwich - I’m not hugely enamoured by your SL4 proposal - the Silvertown tunnel could do with more bus links when it opens, but I’m not sure your proposal is it and I’d leave the SL4 alone. It is otherwise a nice set of proposals.

I don’t think either the SL5 or 119 should be re-routed particularly as the Bromley to Coney Hall section would lose links in the process and would make the SL5 longer than present. IMO, it would be simpler to have a new Superloop route running between Croydon & Orpington or even a hybrid Superloop 353 route where it runs limited stop from Croydon to Addington Village, then all stops via the 353 to Orpington and then over the 61 to Chislehurst, retaining cross Orpington links rather than extending the 161 to Orpington. I also don’t think the 358 should be diverted as it would break the link from Anerley to Beckenham Road & beyond. The walk between the interchange and the green is not long at all.

Restructure ideas for Central and North East London: Routes 14, 19, 22, 170 and 31914 - Withdrawn between Russell Square and Piccadilly Circus. 19 - Withdrawn between Battersea and Hyde Park Corner, instead extended to Victoria via the 38. 369 - New route between Clapham Junction and Kings Cross, via the 319 to Chelsea, 19 to Piccadilly, 14 to Russell Square and 91 to Kings Cross. 22 - Diverted between Sloane Square and Hyde Park Corner via Victoria. 319 - Withdrawn between Sloane Square and Battersea Bridge, instead extended to Victoria via the 170. To provide more capacity on this section with DDs, plus a more direct Victoria to Clapham Junction link. 170 - Withdrawn between Victoria and Battersea Bridge, instead extended to Sloane Square via the 319 (linking Battersea Village to the shops on Kings Road). Routes 26, 38, 55, 56, 135 and 38838 - Revised to operate between Tottenham Court Road and Walthamstow Central via the N38. Frequency reduced to every 6-7 minutes. 55 - Revised to operate between Whipps Cross and London Bridge (restoring some of the ex-48 links), via the 56 to Leyton Green, current route to Shoreditch, then the 149. Frequency reduced to every 8 minutes. 56 - Withdrawn between Whipps Cross and Clapton, instead extended to Tottenham, via Upper Clapton, Stamford Hill and Seven Sisters. Creating new links from Tottenham to Clapton and Hackney. 388 - Revised to operate between Stratford City and Oxford Circus, via current route to Ash Grove, then the 55. 26 - Diverted between Shoreditch and Ash Grove via the 388. 135 - Extended from Old Street to Holborn via the 55. Combines with the revised 388 to replace the 55's capacity on this section, plus new links. Also diverted between Shoreditch and Aldgate via Commercial Street. Could extend the 115 to Liverpool Street if needed. Could also consider swapping routeings with the D8 between Canary Wharf and Crossharbour. Routes 242 and 243
242/243 - Swapped south of Shoreditch. Routes 106, 253 and D6
106 - Withdrawn. 253 - Diverted between Finsbury Park and Clapton via the 106. Route 254 maintains links via Stamford Hill, with capacity also replaced by the revised 56 and 210. D6 - Extended from Ash Grove to Homerton Hospital, via Mare Street to Hackney Central, then Morning Lane and Ponsford Street. Converted to DDs. Partly replacing the 106's capacity between Bethnal Green and Hackney. Also creates a new local link from Homerton to Cambridge Heath Road. Routes 143, 210 and 310
143 - Extended from Archway to Finsbury Park via the 210. Possible frequency increase to every 10 minutes. 210 - Diverted between Archway and Finsbury Park via Holloway, and extended to Stamford Hill via the 310. 310 - Withdrawn. Wouldn't the 369 overbus the Battersea Bridge to Clapham Junction section as well as stand space? I wouldn't agree with removing the 38 from Victoria and the other Hackney area suggestions seem a case of swings and roundabouts. I think there may be some merit in swapping the 242 and 243 south of Shoreditch to balance up the length of the routes. I agree about the 106/143/210/253 suggestion.

Possible frequency increase to every 10 minutes. 210 - Diverted between Archway and Finsbury Park via Holloway, and extended to Stamford Hill via the 310. 310 - Withdrawn. The 310 hasn’t even lasted for a month and your already planning to withdraw it 😭 Anyway, I’m not sure if you seen my proposal map for it but it goes a different way from the 210. The 210 shouldn’t be touched at all except for the Brent Cross Town development and I think 143 should be extended down the Western End and not the Eastern End. Obviously there would be no need for the 310 if the 210 was extended to Stamford Hill as suggested.

Yeah but I would send the 310 to new places that doesn’t have direct bus links or even train links instead of jumping to conclusions by withdrawing it and single decking the 210 which everyone is against. Anyway by the end of next month, they should have a rough idea of what they should do with 310 instead of waiting until the end of the trial. They would have gotten enough responses by then.

The 210 should stay the current route and the 310 should be rerouted between Stroud Green Road and Manor House via Upper Tollington Park, Endymion Road, Green Lanes and back to Woodberry Grove. I think this is the best way at least.

Some changes in North West London:
88: Withdrawn between Camden Town and Parliament Hill Fields. Stand restored at Camden Gardens.
214: Withdrawn between Parliament Hill Fields and Highgate Village. Converted to double deck.
414: New bus route between Highgate Village and Hyde Park Corner, Achilles Way running via Highgate West Hill, Parliament Hill Fields, Lady Somerset Road, Kentish Town Station, Prince of Wales Road, Camden Gardens (southbound) / Camden High Street (northbound), Mornington Crescent Station, Hampstead Road, Gower Street, Charing Cross Road / Seven Dials, Leicester Square Station, Trafalgar Square, S’t James, Pall Mall, Green Park Station, Constitution Hill and Hyde Park Corner standing on Achilles Way. (Single deck, every 10-12 min during the day and 15 min during evenings and Sundays)
Improving reliability on routes 88 and 214, as well as allowing double deck services on much needed 214. New 414 is a route I thought would be useful around my local area while improving other routes, currently Gower Street, Seven Dials have no bus services and would pick up some credible demand IMO, especially from tourists, shoppers and university students and would be quicker than the other routes that go via TCR or Piccadilly etc.

Superloop/Express route ideas:
New route SL(18) - Harrow Bus Station to Maida Hill, The Chippenham via route 182 to Sudbury, Harrow Road, route 18 to Elgin Avenue and route 228 to The Chippenham. This will allow the 18 to be supported whilst also retaining its complete route from Euston to Sudbury and also support the busy 182 up to Harrow.
Stopping at Harrow Bus Station, Northwick Park Hospital, Sudbury and Harrow Road Station, Wembley Central, Wembley Triangle (for Wembley Stadium, Stonebridge Park Station/Point Place, Harlesden Town Centre, Willesden Junction and Kensal Green before terminating at Maida Hill.
SL9 - Extended from Harrow Bus Station to Harrow Weald to allow users a much faster alternative to Harrow Weald and will reconnect Harrow Weald to Heathrow whilst supporting the 140. This would also free up stand space at Harrow for the SL(18).
Stopping at Harrow and Wealdstone and Harrow Weald Bus Garage.
SL(95) - Ruislip Station to Notting Hill Gate via route E7 to Greenford Broadway, 95 to Shepherd's Bush and route 94 to Notting Hill Gate. This will relieve some of the loads on the Central Line and allow local users a cheaper and quicker alternative than the Oxford Tube.
Stopping at Ruislip Gardens, Station Approach/South Ruislip Station, Yeading White Hart (for Northolt), Greenford Broadway (for Greenford Station), South Greenford Station, Teignmouth Gardens (for Perivale), Hanger Lane, Park Royal, North Acton (southbound) and Acton Main Lane (northbound), Savoy Circus (for East Acton), White City Station (for Wood Lane and bus station), Shepherd's Bush Green before running express to Notting Hill Gate.

And traffic... By Seven Dials presumably you mean the upper section of Shaftesbury Avenue? If so, it'd just be stuck in traffic! I don't know how competitive it would be because of that, when alternative routes are on traffic-free roads. What is it going to HPC for? It seems like a bit of a dead end there, may as well get it to Imperial College to restore the UCL to Imperial link!

I'll be starting with a few route ideas around Enfield (and probably not anything too far outside, otherwise we could end up with a 123 proposal to Southend or something), and it would be great to see everyone's thoughts on them. To begin with is new route 391: Route 391: New route from Edmonton Green to Cockfosters, via: Hertford Road, Ponders End Station, Alma Road, Brimsdown Station, Bell Lane, Hertford Road, Turkey Street Station, Turkey Street (bus-only loops with traffic lights installed either side of Turkey Street on Great Cambridge Road and bus gate installed on bridge on Turkey Street), Forty Hill (bus gate installed on roundabout to allow direct access from Forty Hill to Baker Street), Baker Street, Lavender Hill, Gordon Hill Station, Chase Farm Hospital, The Ridgeway, Enfield Road, Oakwood Station and Westpole Avenue. I thought it would be good to start off with this one, as it (hopefully) creates some cross-borough links and serves a lot of roads not currently served. It also provides a link from Chase Farm Hospital to the Piccadilly Line that (apparently) some people want. Nevertheless, I think the route could generate some good demand, but let me know if I've been completely wrong and this route is a terrible idea. This route would run every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime and every 30 Sundays and late evenings. It would likely use >10m single-deck buses, due to length restrictions at Forty Hill. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Route Overview
