276 - Withdrawn between Stoke Newington and Hackney Wick, and instead extended to Walthamstow Central, via Here East, Eastway, Leyton Asda, Orient Way, Lea Bridge Station, Argall Way and the W19 to Walthamstow. Option to curtail at the other end at Canning Town, swapping termini with route 323, if needed to operate more reliably. W19 - Cut back from Argall Avenue, terminating at St James Street Station (212/275 stand). You'd have to move one of the 212 or the 275 out of ST James Street first An alternative option here could be my previous idea of merging the W11 & W12. The W11 would extend from Walthamstow to Wanstead, but with a simplified routeing around Walthamstow Village to fit the W11's vehicle length. Then withdraw the W12, and reroute the W19 to Coppermill Lane. This also frees up the W11's stand space at Walthamstow Central for my revised 276. I'm aware of the changes planned for some of these routes - these ideas are building on what TFL had been proposing, and are based on what the future network will look like in the area. This is also why the 474 was not mentioned in the original post - my plan would be to go ahead with the reroute via Custom House, unchanged from TFL's proposal. The 104/304 split is useful in providing some new links to Beckton and Custom House, but also results in two quite short route with scope for further extensions. And similarly with the 101 when cut back to Beckton, which is why I suggested merging with the 304. The 241 proposal is a rework of TFL's planned changes around Silvertown. Since the 241 is now due to extend onwards from Custom House to Pontoon Dock, it seems to make sense to continue it a short distance further to Canning Town - rather than having both the 241 and 330 overlap on this section, where one route would be adequate. This also allows the 330 to extend from Canning Town to Canary Wharf instead, as TFL were looking at in a previous network development paper. The difference with my suggestion is to go via Lower Lea Crossing (instead of East India Dock Road) to serve Leamouth and London City Island - this replaces part of the D3 here rather than running alongside, allowing the single-deck D3 to provide a new link through the Blackwall Tunnel instead.

I agree, people in Tooting really have no reason to go to Sands End or Chelsea just like people in Barnes have no reason to go to Battersea 319? The 319 doesn't serve Tooting properly, it just serves Tooting Bec

I agree, people in Tooting really have no reason to go to Sands End or Chelsea just like people in Barnes have no reason to go to Battersea 319? Realistically, very few people from Tooting (Tooting Bec in this case as it doesn't serve the Broadway) will take the 319 beyond Battersea - the link to Chelsea is highly likely a remnent of it's introduction which was to replace the 219 between Battersea & Sloane Square (also replaced the 349 between Chelsea & Streatham Hill). The 319 provides the only link from King's Road to Clapham Junction & Battersea Park Road

changes to 205, 214 and new 305: 205: rerouted at Old Street Station to Moorgate, Finsbury Square via route 214 and further extended to Liverpool Street via Eldon Street (or route 153). withdrawn between Liverpool Street and Bow Church. 214: withdrawn between Islington, Angel and Moorgate to reduce overbussing and reduce journey times due to heavy congestion - route 205 replaces between KC and Liverpool Street 305: new route between between Stratford International and Camden Town running via route N205 to King’s Cross and 214 to Camden Town. Replaces part route 205, and runs via the Shoreditch High Street to retain the links from the current 205, and keeps a link to Camden from Old Street previously on the 214. Also gives Warton Road a bus link in the Stratford area. the current 205 will be split into a 205 and 305 to better suit customer needs such as a less congested shorter journeys more reliable bus service for the East End as the 305 such as Stratford to Shoreditch and the 205 from the West End to the Central East end both routes will increase capacity as the current 205 is already very busy and often packed to the doors, two routes on certain parts of the route can have more relaxed passengers, and both routes have little unique sections as the 205 being rerouted via Moorgate and 305 via Shoreditch and also the 305 going to Camden and Stratford, which is new from the current 205 I like the ideas here, and would help relieve congestion on the 205, but possibly needs a few changes. Camden Town to Stratford could still be quite long - I would suggest keeping the 305 terminating at Bow, but instead extend route 8 onwards? This would also provide a more unique link from Stratford towards Old Ford and Bethnal Green, rather than paralleing the 25. I would also consider diverting the 305 direct from Shoreditch to Aldgate via Commercial Street, making the route a bit more direct and introducing new links to the Brick Lane area. Your revised 205 would cover the link from Liverpool Street towards Kings Cross. The main issue is with the 214 - with overbussing on part of this corridor, the 205/305 would probably be adequate between Kings Cross and Old Street. And the 214 and 305 are definitely not both needed between Camden Town and Kings Cross. I think the solution to this might be to additionally split route 46, which is also quite long and suffers with traffic congestion, with the 46 number kept for the section between Paddington and Hampstead Heath. Then a revised 214 could operate from Highgate Village to Gospel Oak as present, then Gordon House Road, Southampton Road, and taking over the 46 to St Barts Hospital. The rest of the 214 between Parliament Hill and Moorgate would be covered by the 88/205/305.

When is this 304 coming? It was suppose to be in service time ago. The delay of Crossrail is the reason why it’s been delayed. Maybe it will start next year but who knows.

When is this 304 coming? It was suppose to be in service time ago. In future please ask route related questions in the appropriate thread like the General enquires in General Bus Discussion boards or the operator threads and not clog up the Withdrawn/ new bus route ideas.

Thanks, I like the idea of the 8 at Stratford, I had imagined the 305 between Stratford and Camden Town would take the same time as Bow to Marylebone however that doesn’t really link with my purpose of splitting the route, however with the hotspots the 305 I think are better serving (running down Primrose Street would be far better as it connects with other buses coming from the East End and Spitafields is a crossing away), the route should at least go as far as King’s Cross Station. A King’s Cross-Bow route should be adequate enough, and with the 46/214 idea you suggested which is personally a very good idea, you could reduce overbussing. The 476 cut which I think to Islington, Angel in this case may be also adequate if then you had the 30 and 73 come from Upper Street, and the 205/305 come from City Road which is enough for a small section of the route, often empty also. Pentonville Road will then remain with one less bus route than as off current

Few minor adjustments in the Brent Cross area:
Route 324: Withdrawn between Brent Cross Tesco & Claremont Road. Diverted to Brent Cross Station. Towards Brent Cross Station, it would follow Route 210 to Highfield Avenue, then via Woodville Gardens, Woodville Road, St Mary's Road & Highfield Avenue. Stand created on Highfield Avenue. Towards Elstree, Centennial Park it would head directly via the 210 towards Brent Cross Shopping Centre, and rejoining its current LOR from there. The 210 stop at Brent Cross Station (especially towards the Shopping Centre) tends to get quite busy, so perhaps adding an extra 3bph SD down there could perhaps help even loadings out whilst reducing stand space needed at Brent Cross Shopping Centre indirectly.
Route 326: Extended to Tesco Brent Cross. I believe this could be an effective change because I've felt the Tesco could do with a slightly higher frequency than it currently receives, though Toys R Us closing likely decreased demand a fair amount I think it be slightly better to introduce a 4bph-5bph up there rather an every 20 minute 324. This would reduce stand congestion at Brent Cross as I've mentioned and would retain the Tesco link as far as Hendon Central.
Thoughts?

Good idea about the 324 diversion, would be nice to see another route at Brent Cross station. About Brent Cross Tesco, would be nice to see a route from the south serve the Tesco like the 266 for example. but this would be complicated

The 324s running time would only increase by 1 minute in each direction, so the service would be pretty much cost neutral (same with the 326).
I can see your point about a service from the south, however the 142/266 are a bit too frequent and from what I've noticed at least on the 324 is that the bus can have healthy loadings along the section down to Brent Cross but passengers tend to disperse from there either to interchange onto other services or to perhaps shop in Brent Cross. Again another great thing about the hopper fare.

19 - extended to Clapham Junction via 319. N19 - Extended to BN garage. This gives a nightly service from Sloane Square to BN instead of only weekends. 319 - No longer 24 hr on weekends. 137 - Diverted via current 23 at Knightsbridge to Hammersmith. This gives a very unique link from Hammersmith to South London (further than Clapham Junction). 23 - restored to old routing to Aldwych, with an extension via Waterloo Bridge to terminate at Elephant and Castle. 345 - Extended via 414 then Edgware Road to Brent X Shopping Centre, however curtailed to Clapham Junction. Southern section replaced by 445 - new route I’ve seen proposed a lot, Clapham Junction to Lewisham via old 345 and 436 with a short diversion via underserved Nunhead.
