Could the 329 be extended to Stoke Newington via current Route 67 currently running every 8 minutes (I know there would be a slight frequency imbalance but I don't think it's worth reducing the Palmers Green to Enfield section to every 10 minutes because that would be too low frequency) with perhaps the other routes along the corridor between Dalston to Stoke Newington left alone and the 67 withdrawn. I know there could be advantages including St Ann's Hospital linked further into North London, however the disadvantage would be loss of link between the St Ann's area & Dalston. The advantages could be cost saving and also stand space opened up at the Dalston end for an extension to either the 263 or D6. Thoughts? Yes these are the sort of savings TfL should be looking at, also reduces overbussing along the High Road. I'd leave the 329 but the 67 should definitely be withdrawn as it's too short thanks to the withdrawl between Aldgate and Dalston and parallels with routes 76, 149 and 243. I'd replace it with a new route 338 running between Wood Green and Stratford via the current 67 route between Wood Green and Stamford Hill. It will then go via routes 253/254 to Clapton Pond then follows the 425/488 to Homerton Hospital. It will then link with the 308 to Chobham Acadamy then serves Sir Ludwig Guttmann Health Centre with the 339 then follows the 158 to Stratford Bus Station. The route can run every 10 mins with a PVR of 16. This will help improve links to Homerton Hospital and the demand to to Stratford could be key as other routes to Stratford could be packed. The full journey would be about 50-60 mins long off peak. During the peak it would be about 70 mins long.

The full journey would be about 50-60 mins long. I don't have much to comment on other than saying that I dislike the idea of withdrawing the 67 only for a new replacement to be created out of the blue, you might as well keep the number as the 67. I reckon if this suggestion were to be considered, I think you'd be better off extending the 349 to Stratford as that would create new links into Tottenham & Enfield, but then two alternative suggestions could be either extending the 241 after its cut to Stamford Hill or diverting the 425 to Stamford Hill instead of running to Kenninghall Road. The latter two suggestions might not be as useful on the other hand and there might be reliability concerns on the two because they both have to face East London traffic which can at times be brutal. If we are talking about small scale changes in East London, perhaps this 425 could be diverted via Hackney Central (I'm really surprised it doesn't serve it but I reckon it would be a tad bit more useful than its current routing, however East Londoners can probably correct me) or an extension of the D6 to Dalston Junction to properly serve Hackney as it does terminate quite far away from what is likely a place on the map being Hackney. All coming from a back seat enthusiast however.

The complaints were from a man who tried to claim buses were damaging his house 3 years ago - if they were legit, the route would of changed by now. Yes the roads are narrow but not too tight that buses shouldn't run along there. Furthermore, Waltham Forest should actually discover tarmac and resurface the roads around there as they are dreadful. Whether the rest of the route goes to Chingford is irrelevant - as I understand it, the purpose of the route is to link the estate to Chingford for shopping amenities, interchange with other buses and the Overground. Furthermore, you haven't any given any description for your route idea asides from where it runs and a PVR of 6. The route would benefit local residents at Beresford Road & Kimberley Road as well as the ones at Woodford Wells to connect to Woodford Station and there's a few shops there as well where no buses are served. There is no need for the 379 to extend towards Woodford as the 179 already provides the link between Chingford & Woodford including South Woodford Station which is also on the Central line like Woodford, also the 179 doesn't really have any capacity issues for the need of another route extending to Woodford from Chingford.
The 397 also serves some of the side roads east of Chingford Station and that also links between Chingford Station & Woodford Wells.

It will still go to Chingford but the bit where it goes up the hill is too tight and I have seen some complaints from residents as well. Yes though that was in relation to a sinkhole but still claims that don’t add up entirely

There’s four other routes that will take you to Stamford Hill then interchange for the 338. It’s not that deep. The link between Stamford Hill and Homerton Hospital + Stratford could be popular as well.

The fact is that the 67 still has purpose despite being shortened, and as LondonNorthern said the link between Stoke Newington and St Ann's is still popular so I believe it should be retained.

It’s not that deep. The link between Stamford Hill and Homerton Hospital + Stratford could be popular as well. It's not about it being "deep", the Stoke Newington link has existed since the 70s which shows that it is a very well-established link (and tends to be where demand fizzles out especially under the new routing) and where's the demand to suggest that the St Ann's/West Green area wants a link to Stratford? I think if you were wanting to link in that area to Stratford you'd be better off extending the 349, it would be fairly long but it should be able to manage.
You mention that the 338 will create lots of new demand (which I can't comment on) but the way in which you extend it will overbus other corridors at the same time. For example, the corridor around Kingsmead Estate I'm surprised hasn't seen a battering yet, the only saving grace being Homerton Hospital which would not go down well politically however there has been a sneaky decrease on the 236 (which was really illogical west of Hackney).
I think in this day and age, I think you'd be far better off perhaps extending routes (providing they remain reliable) than just creating new ones altogether. I can't think of many places in London where new routes are needed altogether but I think there needs to be more improvements to current ones in regards to frequency etc.
