A suggestion for the 21/271 proposals - not that different, but could be less confusing. Also involves a few other changes that had been rumoured before. 12 - Extended from Oxford Circus to Marylebone via the 453. 21/453 - Merged to operate between Oxford Circus and Lewisham. Night service to match but continuing to Bexleyheath. 271 - Cut back to Holloway, and extended from Moorgate to New Cross or Deptford Bridge. N271 to extend to Highgate or Finchley if needed. I would like to see 12 return to Notting Hill Gate as it use to run it will restore Westminster to Notting Hill Link and keep it if 94 get withdrawn from Piccadilly Circus Is the 148 a joke to you?

W7 extended to Finchley Central station, via 102 to East Finchley, (alternative to go direct via Queen's Avenue), East End Road, 13 to Finchley Central.
Buses would stand and pick up on station road (new stand created), turn around on Wooton Grove and Lichfield Grove
To link Finchley Central with Muswell Hill

The W7 runs every 3 minutes!!!
Also none of the roads to turn around on would fit a double decker.

Yeah because there's currently no direct link from Finchley Central to Muswell Hill, whilst parts of East End Road do not have a bus route in the day

N117: Starts at Feltham Station ends at Richmond Bus Station Follows normal 117 routing until West Middlesex Hospital, then continues down Twickenham Road, Chertsey Road, the Avenue, Twickenham Road, A307, Church Terrace, Wakefield Road. You'd be better off either continuing into Twickenham to create a Twickenham-Isleworth night link or replacing the H37 weekend night service and following that into Richmond. Only problem of approaching Twickenham from the north and still trying to get into Richmond is of course the turn onto York Street/Richmond Road. You'd have to use Arragon Road which would avoid most of the town centre completely. Once weekend night buses start coming back I'd advocate for a H22 weekend night service, it brings night travel to the Whitton Corner area and West Twickenham and provides that Twickenham-Isleworth link which I think is definitely needed. For the N117 I'd recommend doing the double run to WMH and then just following the H37 into Richmond and using the Manor Circus stand. I see what you're doing by approaching Richmond from Twickenham Bridge but you're missing out on St Margarets/East Twickenham which does have cross-borough night demand which is what made the H37's night service a success. Overall I like the idea of linking Feltham to Hounslow at night and its a link which should've come to fruition already.

I'll be Mr Controversial and say that the section west of Manor View isn't crying out for a bus service, there is more demand towards Victoria Park/Squires Lane.
At most that section would maybe require a 15-20 minute SD service, not an every 3 minute DD W7.

The 234 could be diverted from Highgate to serve the section west of East Finchley that I was talking about. Maybe the 299 could do with a short extension from Muswell Hill to Highgate to compensate

I think an extra 3bph would be somewhat helpful.

B1 would be unnecessary as the London Overground would continue to operate. TfL would be more likely to beef up existing bus routes (any or all of 6, 46, 98) rather then introduce a dedicated new route such as the B2. It is the Maida Vale/Warwick Avenue area that will be impacted most by any withdrawal of the Bakerloo Line as there aren't alternative tube or rail stations nearby.

After having a look at the previous posts, I feel that culling the Bakerloo Line is too extreme. What about some other cuts to outer extremities of tube lines, replaced by buses with lower capacities?
Could some of the North-eastern Central line go? A lot of this is outside the GLA, so I'm surprised TfL haven't done something about this earlier.
NEW BUS ROUTE X49:
Epping Station - Station Road - High Street - (High Road - Theydon Road - Piercing Hill - Coppice Row) - Theydon Bois Station - (Abridge Road) - Abridge Market Place - London Road - (Abridge Road - Chigwell Lane) - Debden The Broadway - Burton Road - (Borders Lane - Alderton Hill) - Loughton Station - Old Station Road - (High Road) - Palmerston Road - Buckhurst Hill Station Victoria Road - (Albert Road - Buckhurst Way - Hillside Avenue) - Woodford Station
EXTENSION TO BUS ROUTE 362:
From Whalebone Lane North: Romford Road - Lambourne Road - Manor Road - Grange Hill Station - Manford Way - Brocket Way - The Lowe - Hainault New North Road - Fencepiece Road - Hainault Road - Chigwell Station - Chigwell Rise - Roding Lane - Buckhurst Hill Station Victoria Road - Albert Road - Buckhurst Way - Roding Valley Station - Hillside Avenue - Woodford Station St Barnabas Road - Broadmead Road - Chigwell Road - George Lane - South Woodford Station
X49 - Every 12 minutes with 10.2m single decks. Express sections in brackets. No change to 362 vehicle type but frequency increased to every 20 minutes. 549 withdrawn.
Central Line - All trains cut back to Woodford instead of continuing Epping-bound. There will still be 5 with-the-flow peak journeys on the Central Line from Epping Monday to Friday only.

Is there really going to be demand for this bus route if the Central line disappears at this section? I don't think this part of the Central line is at risk, if anything it's the section between Woodford-Hainault, that section doesn't have through trains to central London in the off peaks anymore.
