Trying to run a 47 from Shoreditch to Bromley is asking for a lot of trouble so clearly the 320 is better than the 47. I’d argue the 171 could be problematic as well so really the 199 is the only alternative without making needless changes to other routes I still like the 199 idea over the 320 as I really feel the demand is Lewisham to Market Square rather then Catford to Bromley Common. Catford/Downham to Bromley College is a big draw on the 208/320

I think that's what was originally proposed but the lack of stand space scuppered it.

Not the 160 as there is a low bridge, possibly the 124 though. Extending the 47,171 or 199 to Bromley would be better than the 320 to Catford but stand space is the problem. I wouldn't rule out the 172 extending to Catford Garage and the 171 withdrawn and left to 12/36/172 with tfl taking advantage of gaining a stand at Elephant for another route. Withdrawing the 171 would then mean that the link from Brockley Station to Peckham is cut, although the 343 is a short walk away.

Putting a lot of pressure on the 343 though, which is already well used in that section.

Although the route will be very indirect

Might Stagecoach cut up rough and say access to the Catford Garage stand only covers the 171 and not any other route?

Route 205 - Extended to Leyton, Drapers Field or Stratford International and run a 24 hour service.

Drapers Field is not a particularly helpful daytime terminus as it stops short of a major objective in Leyton Station and Town Centre. Bow-Stratford International is roughly duplicating the 108, Stratford International-Drapers Field is duplicating the 97. Not sure the daytime capacity is needed (correct if wrong).

Why would it duplicate the 97?! Stratford Intl to Drapers Field is like 5mins. Plus the 108 and N205 duplicate anyway but via different routings.

What about withdrawing the night service (N205) and making it 24 hours because to get to Stratford International you could just take 108 from Bow and to get to Leyton you could just get on a N25 or N8 to Stratford and change for a 69.

I don't think there is that many people wanting to get on from Drapers Field early in the morning.

Yes it’s only a short distance but that begs the question of why the 205 needs to run down there in the first place, other than the fact there is a bus stand at Drapers Field. The N205 runs there to provide the East Village with a link to Central London, a link which is not needed in the daytime.

The lights by Drapers Field are always congested and can take ages to get across that junction which would impact a busy route like the 205.
