Sad for Leeds, really wanted them to survive - happy Leicester are gone and I'm disappointed we still have to go to Goodison Park next season so hopefully their lives run out next season. Good final win this season against Wolves even if it was a meaningless game, happy for Xhaka to score on his farewell and he has turned it around at us from hate figure to cult hero - looking forward to Champions League next season and the progression that will continue, onwards and upwards we go Early prediction from me for next year but Luton will stay up - it's a habit of mine to back the most unfancied team and having got it right for the past two seasons (Brentford & this season, Forest), I'm going to continue that theme. Agreed about Everton and Leicester. The way they treated Ranieri a few years back after winning the title was horrible so they deserve this. I'm not sure I agree about Ranieri, he's a lovely guy and worked wonders to win the title but he couldn't maintain it the following season and a difficult decision had to be made. I think Leicester kept Brendon Rogers too long although the appointment of Dean Smith was a strange one. I would imagine James Maddison will be moving on?

Spurs miss out on Europe but it's a good thing as hopefully a rebuild with a decent manager in place. Nice leaving presents from Kane and Moura but it was only Leeds. Kane shouldn't wait around any longer as the broken promises from Levy will keep on coming. Good to see young players like Abbott showing promise, Spurs should look to their youth to improve their squad rather than "Middle of Lidl" bargains from Serie A The way things are going, even Beyonce may be offered the manager's job after her 5 concerts at the Stadium

Of the three promoted teams the one that worries me most is Sheffield United - they look remarkably ordinary.

If Kane goes they will need a really good striker. If he goes to Man City then prepare for Man City's 4th consecutive title before the season has even begun. Oh well at least you didn't get Lampard In terms of manager of the year I'd nominate the following: Emery De Zerbi Frank (that's Thomas not Lampard!) Howe Possibly Ten Hag and Arteta too. I feel that Newcastle have done an excellent job at getting top 4 this season, considering when Eddie Howe took over last season they were pretty dire. Emery taking Villa from almost the bottom of the table to European football in 6 months is another huge achievement. The success of Man Utds season really depended on whether they got CL football or not. Luckily they did and I'm looking forward to potentially adding another trophy on Saturday

Agreed past two seasons they've been woeful, unless... Sam Allardyce to the rescueΒ Just kidding I think appointing him would be a mistake, he's not great at all and really quite arrogant especially comparing him to Guardiola. Well I guess that statement backfired on him considering he got Leeds relegated (4 matches isn't enough to judge a manager though so it's not exactly Sam's fault) Funnily enough Everton have had Big Sam at the wheel before Allardyce is one of those journeymen "avoid relegation specialists" he's not going to develop the team and take them forward. I agree about Everton likely to be relegation fighters next season, they are not an attractive club for players or investors, which is what the modern Premier league is about.

Everton have their new stadium being built soon, I think they can turn things around. For some of the clubs who have gotten European football, they may find themselves spread too thinly like too little marmalade over too much toast. Spurs close in on new manager to divert from Poch joining Chelsea

Liverpool and Everton are like comparing Chelsea with Crystal Palace. I was impressed when they got Ancelotti and couple of decent well known names, thats' not going to come around again anytime soon.

Anyone here old enough to remember when the lower leagues used to have 11/11:30am kick offs on bank holiday Mondays?Remember one Easter watched Orient beat Plymouth 4-1,jumped on a 241 to Tottenham Hale, walked through the back streets to White Hart Lane and watched Spurs destroy Forest 8-2.Can also remember further back West Ham always had a home match on Christmas morning one year they beat Sheffield Wednesday 7-1.

Interesting. I had to read up on 241 history which was interesting. Also had to dig and find the games. Both games actually ended 4-1 by the looks of it and it was a Good Friday. It also makes sense that the 2-games end 4-1 and you take the 241. There is another 9-2 around the same time but Orient did not play on that day.
