Sorry, forgot about this post - yes and in a way, I'm kind of relishing it and see where we are in terms of mixing it with Europes best teams, even if Bayern aren't as good as they usually are

Its sensational and in some matches they really had to dig in deep. I know the day they do lose it will be a big headline. Let's just hope they don't get robbed the way we did almost 20 years ago.

Cant recall how Bayer were robbed the last time they were in this position. However, they have been very lucky the last month or so. They seem to be playing 10 men every other week. They were definitely lucky to get passed Qarabag, that may have been one of the worse VAR overturns to get a man sent off. Even with 10 men they nearly made it until a defender slipped and was out of position for the late equaliser. They should win the title but not sure about the treble. The title will be a historic achievement anyway.

It's more now of a case as to how they would respond when they lose a match, will they be motivated or will they crumble

Well, we have to come up against the major teams. Would be interesting to see Bayern vs Arsenal. Even more now in the premier league Pep has said he thinks Liverpool would be first, Arsenal second and Man City third in the end. I still do not see an easy road for any of the three and could go either way, depending on the opposition and injuries etc.

I'm hoping those losses against Fulham and West Ham don't come back to bite us. I'm also hoping we nullify Kane come next Tuesday. If we get past Bayern I would prefer to possibly face City again rather than Real (despite us beating them at the Bernabeau in 2006)

I said at the beginning of the season that I can see City dropping the title and I'm sticking to it. I have a feeling more points will be dropped between now and the end of the season for Liverpool and City and possibly Arsenal too.
It's crazy to think that City have only scored once at White Hart Lane (I refuse to call it the Tottenham Stadium). Spurs seem to have City in a chokehold, let's see if Pep will add Ange to his hitlist. So far it's been Pochettino, Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, Conte and Stellini. The only time City have beaten Spurs away was when they played at Wembley.

I can't lie this season has been really entertaining. The title race is really tight at the moment. I told all my Liverpool fan friends back in January that they won't go on a winning run between then and the end of the season and points will be dropped along the way. A few years ago it would have been possible for that run to happen but not anymore. I also said I have a feeling City may drop the title but I don't know who to though. As for Arsenal I will admit I was against Havertz coming over from Chelsea but he's managing to do good for himself.

This week in European football was absolutely manic. With the debate between Saka's pen or no pen, Man City 6 goal thriller at the Bernabeau, Barca beating PSG, West ham undone in the 80th minute but this one YX10FFN, what happened last night? Are you folks purposely trying to go out of that competition to focus on the league? I think you folks underestimated that team, it's going to be a tall order to reverse that deficit on the return game.

I think we were genuinely trying to go for the Europa League but disrespected Atalanta by playing very passively and they punished us. I give all the credit to them they were simply fantastic and picked up on every lazy mistake in possession we made. How humiliating it would be if we finished Klopp’s farewell season with only a carabao cup to show for it…

That tie could have been over if the referee follows the rules of football and gives a penalty to Bayern for handball. It's Kane against Arsenal, so actually the tie would have been over if the referee gives a penalty.

The Gabriel one I did question it and they did say it is a penalty but it's under the ref's discretion to award it but as he wasn't interfering with the goal in play it wasn't given

Of course, things might have been different had a certain player been sent off for elbowing but as usual, his antics are unpunished by referees

The Gabriel one I did question it and they did say it is a penalty but it's under the ref's discretion to award it but as he wasn't interfering with the goal in play it wasn't given Who said it was in the referee's discretion? That was some nonsense that came out. An accidental back pass may not have any advantage and there are many offences, particularly handball, that are not advantageous but are given. My issue is when we have things like 'it would be good to keep all 11 players on the field'. That is all neutral talk/entertainment talk but these are big money businesses and they dont care about the neutral or how things look, they are desperate to win for their futures, clubs and fans. Just look at all the outcry over deducted points. If something deserves something by the letter of the law it should happen. vjaska - You are right about Kane. That was a red. He has been getting favourable decisions for years because of his status. Similar to James Maddison the other day when he clearly punched the Forest player. Had it been Romero it would have been red but Maddison is a nice England international.
