The Gabriel one I did question it and they did say it is a penalty but it's under the ref's discretion to award it but as he wasn't interfering with the goal in play it wasn't given Who said it was in the referee's discretion? That was some nonsense that came out. An accidental back pass may not have any advantage and there are many offences, particularly handball, that are not advantageous but are given. My issue is when we have things like 'it would be good to keep all 11 players on the field'. That is all neutral talk/entertainment talk but these are big money businesses and they dont care about the neutral or how things look, they are desperate to win for their futures, clubs and fans. Just look at all the outcry over deducted points. If something deserves something by the letter of the law it should happen. vjaska - You are right about Kane. That was a red. He has been getting favourable decisions for years because of his status. Similar to James Maddison the other day when he clearly punched the Forest player. Had it been Romero it would have been red but Maddison is a nice England international. Don't blame me. I didn't make the rules 😂

Saka? That tie could have been over if the referee follows the rules of football and gives a penalty to Bayern for handball. It's Kane against Arsenal, so actually the tie would have been over if the referee gives a penalty. The Gabriel one I did question it and they did say it is a penalty but it's under the ref's discretion to award it but as he wasn't interfering with the goal in play it wasn't given For me, it's a penalty - had it been the other way around, I'd been furious if we didn't get that. That said, it's about time we got one lucky decision in our favour in a Champions League game after the 2006 final nonsense and the Van Persie sending off - both against Barcelona

It really wasn't right. We were so close in getting the trophy. Let's see what this campaign will say for us. I generally hope we really can beat Bayern on Wednesday.

As much as I want Arsenal to get to the final, I like to be able to say I have been to their last four European finals, and if we get there, that run will end as I no longer go anymore! 😢

I can't lie this season has been really entertaining. The title race is really tight at the moment. I told all my Liverpool fan friends back in January that they won't go on a winning run between then and the end of the season and points will be dropped along the way. A few years ago it would have been possible for that run to happen but not anymore. I also said I have a feeling City may drop the title but I don't know who to though. As for Arsenal I will admit I was against Havertz coming over from Chelsea but he's managing to do good for himself. I cannot believe I really said this and it came back to haunt me today. Of all days.

I just didn't think it would be against Villa. I've chosen to refrain from my comments about Arteta until the end of the season because yesterday's selection was on him 100%. We'll see what this man is made of come Wednesday.

We'll see what this man is made of come Wednesday. In basketball, they call it the triple double, I think Man City may be on course for that. Arsenal fans cannot turn on Arteta. He has proven he is amoung the best in the league/Europe. He would go to another club, even somewhere like Man Utd and turn that team around. They sacked Unai Emery for no real reason after one year and it would be even more ridiculous to think about that with Arteta. He is sore loser (like almost all managers). "We should have scored 3, 4 or 5 in the first half"? He was watching a different game, maybe the Liverpool game. What was worrying is that Arsenal looked tired. The next few games are not easy so they could drop more points get knocked out by Kane. The selection was questionable as they randomly stumbled on a formation with Jorginho and Havertz upfront and it was working very well. What makes this worse, is this has been one of the worst Man City in the last few years. They cant even keep a clean sheet, Haaland has been off it and they are still there.

With Arteta I've questioned him being there since 2019, whilst he has brought back a feel good factor at Arsenal I've said in the past I don't feel like this man will take us to the promised land. December will be 5 years since his takeover and he has one fa cup to show for it. Nah hmmmm I'll keep quiet now. As I said for him I'll wait until the end of the season before I say my thoughts.

I’m fully behind Arteta so no need to worry on my behalf but he did get yesterday wrong with his selection of Jesus up front who was poor - Havertz did well in midfield but he should of been in Jesus spot and Jorginho should of started. I’m also tired of Zinchenko trying to dribble out of our box and giving the ball away in the process. First half we played well and should have been 1 or 2 up but second half, we were terrible - not really much more I can say other than Villa deserved it by the end. As for the cheating plastics being top, I’ve been warning for years that they will dominate the league going forward until Guardiola leaves and it will difficult to win one

I said I was going to hold myself until the end of the season but I can't do it. This man has to get out of the club. As good as he's taken this club he's reached his height. His and Edu's talent ID is a shambles, I'm sorry but this man is a big failure. How many more years will we give this man.
What a poor return to the Champions League against a bad Bayern. Before I hear "Oh BaYeRn HaS eUrOpEaN pEdIgReE" we should have done better in the first leg against that club. We gifted them 2 goals.
This goes back to when I say when Arsenal lose its not just one game. It happens multiple times. I'm sorry but I cannot be proud of this shambolic mediocre performance. 7 years out of the champions league and this is what you have to show for it. What a disgrace, I'm not trying to hear this is progress. What because it wasn't a 5-1 thrashing. This man needs to step aside and take some of the players with him too.
And no this is not reactionary I've been saying for the longest time this man won't take this club forward. Xhaka that a lot of people use to scapegoat managed to win a trophy before this club. Nah I'm really livid. If City goes out then that's England going out bad.

Unfortunate losses for Arsenal and City tonight, as much as I shouldn't want to see Arsenal get through as a Chelsea fan, those extra points toward the UEFA Coefficient rankings could've aided in us getting a place in Europe next season. Hopefully we still get in by winning the FA cup (never going to happen) or finishing top 6

Screw the 5th place coefficient nonsense that shouldn't even be a rule and screw the cheating scum from Manchester. No comment on the rest - you already know my opinion on the matter.

As soon as Arsenal lost to Villa on Sunday I knew straightaway this is where the slump begins. It tends to happen in 3s so I wouldn't be surprised if they lose to Wolves on Saturday and then they miraculously turn it around when they play Chelsea next Tuesday. Rinse and repeat. I genuinely want this team to be taken seriously and actually go all the way with things rather than being that almost team. I'm honestly tired of seeing the same stuff happen every year around the crucial part of the season. I've really tried to hold myself but yesterday showed me what they're really about.

I'm sorry I had to come back to this. That Bernardo Silva penalty had me laughing all day. What kind of penalty take was that. I've seen Sunday League players take better penalties than that. He should never take penalties again.
