Klopp should be sacked for that defeat It's surprising the season the traditional "Big Teams" are having. Seeing Chelsea in 9th is strange, but someone at work told me it's February, when Arsenal traditionally tumble... I didn't see it happening at Everton though Man U and Newcastle are in their rear view mirror now. It looks like being an interesting season, especially with Leicester beating Villa 4-2...

Will be interesting to see whether Arsenal's defeat is a one off or if they slip up more often and hand over the title to Man City

I would like to see Newcastle win the league if anyone just hoping the City game goes better this time round for Spurs...

Klopp should be sacked for that defeat That comment sums up everything wrong with modern football fans. First terrible season they have and everything Klopp has done should be forgotten?

Chelsea have sacked their manager almost every season. Admittedly they're not as good as they used to be but still. It's just lucky for Klopp that the Liverpool board are much more patient than at Chelsea The truth is that managers are under pressure to perform and if they don't then they may get sacked even if it is the players fault.

True, Chelsea haven't done well after letting Tuchel go. Spurs have seen more tired coaches than Ensignbus, though now with Conte, owner Daniel Levy knows if he messes this one up, the fans will have his guts for garters most of the managers dismissed have gone on to win trophies elsewhere, even Nuno who is now in Saudi somewhere. The World Cup didn't help many teams, this is the strangest season since Covid. West Ham did well to hold Newcastle to a draw...

Chelsea are the exception to the rule and the noises coming out of them suggest their culture of sacking managers constantly is over with continued backing of Potter. Liverpool’s board are absolutely right to be patient, it’s not luck but a sign of not overreacting - remember when my club Arsenal were 15th and everyone wanted Arteta sacked or even bottom after three games, where would my team be now if they had sacked him I’m very aware of the fact managers are under pressure when things don’t go well but sacking Klopp isn’t necessarily going to solve the issues they have which are an ageing & injury prone squad with a lack of money to spend on fixing the issues and few good youth players able to cement a place in the team.

Spurs aren't great like Man City and haven't been for years but I think Poch was leading the club in the right direction and Conte isn't the man for the job

So you still want him sacked? not immediately but if results don't improve then it may be wise to make the decision to sack him. Arsenal took years of decline before they finally got rid of Wenger. Ferguson knew when was the right time to resign. Sorry but losing to Wolves 3-0 is embarrassing, Wolves aren't bad and they've had good seasons in the past 5 years but they're pretty much a mid table club. It's not like this result was a fluke, it's been happening quite regularly. Give him until the end of the season and if they don't finish top 4 it may be worth sacking him

Bottom after three games is very different though, plenty of time to turn the season around. You can't judge a team on 3 games. This is slightly different because we've had more than half the season and Liverpool are mid table. Maybe I was a bit too critical here but if Liverpool didn't improve substantially (by that I mean at the very least top 6, ideally top 4) then it's a poor season for them. It's not like Man Utd when they went from Ferguson to Moyes in one season from 1st to 7th, it's the same manager, same players mostly so in theory something's going wrong at Liverpool
