I think it's best if we talk about the shortage of petrol here instead of clogging up the Turns and observation thread.

Police have been moving drivers on from outside the Shell garage on Bromley Hill this morning.
Also people criticising others for filling cans with petrol, how do they think the RNLI operate? They don't bring the boats to the filling station.

I honestly can't explain how frustrated I am. I tried all weekend to get petrol. I went to my local garage at 7am but already there was too many cars waiting it would have meant being extremely late for work I don't think phoning to say I'd be late would cut it.
I can't even get my head around how much more petrol people want to buy or need! I late filled up on Thursday and already used 5 miles of my 50 emergency miles.

It is illegal and even worse you are not meant to have no more than 5 litres at home without proper storage facilities.

Your obsession with me is getting alarming! Excuse me? Read my post I simply replied to your comment re the RNLI. You are making that remark about obsession simply because of what I said to you a few months ago! Seen as bothers you so much I'll put your posts on ignore but then you will start replying via other people's posts as you like a reaction.

The blame for all this lays with the media, it started with project fear in the run up to the referendum and has just escalated from there.

Been listening to a lot of call ins from HGV drivers in the trade. So much things we have elaborated on here has caused many to leave the trade. Companies paying drivers from abroad low wages, foreign drivers who were working here being taxed on earnings where they could get away with it. Poor terms & conditions for employment companies do not want them using their own staff toilets or facilities, some supermarkets have been widely accused of this. petrol stations who have drivers delivering fuel to them do not want the drivers using "thier" toilets cpc causing many to not complete their 35 hours hardly much dedicated rest or toilet areas for drivers within the country compared to the EU industrial estates that do not want HGV drivers coming in until certain hours. general hate by councils to HGV's with so much road restrictions, parking rules, 20 mins unloading for a 40ft truck near on impossible lorry drivers seen as a menace to society by cyclists and government taking their side even if the cyclist is in the wrong riding poorly

Services across Europe particularly in France and Germany have one of the best comfort facilities for all drivers. I am furtunate as I have an EV but seeing the queues across East London over the weekend has been pretty unnecessary. Surprised DX managed quite well the slip road was constantly blocked towards the Lodge Avenue flyover.

They don't bring the boats to the filling station. They did that near the Esso in Belmont (Harrow) yesterday, and were advising how long the wait times were
