Lip Service. She'll say this now to attract the votes and perform a bait and switch. What makes me laugh on here is all these people against Khan are fine at pulling up anti stories about him and the scheme which is perfectly fine for scrutiny purposes but conviently none regarding his nearest rival despite her saying & liking some more than questionable things online. It would be better if there was a balanced debate rather than it mirroring people and football clubs which is completely different

But I think it’s time for fresh leadership in city hall. But that doesn’t mean it has to be Susan Hall. Khan is quickly becoming a pariah in the outer boroughs. I still say we should watch the Lib Dems, both locally and nationally. If they can get a strong candidate they could very well split the vote from Labour and Tory, likewise at the next general election. As for the ULEZ, I don’t disagree with it existing and I think there is a place for it but charges should be lower and money generated should be targeted towards cleaning up the tube. It’s a huge generator of pollution, both micro particles and noise.

I've been saying that Susan will lie to these people by saying she'll reverse it. I'm not sure if she got the memo that to reverse it would cost money. Money that is needed for those folk at the moment, if she made that move whilst the public would somewhat like her for a while the high ups in the transport towers won't like that. So something would have to give but alas some are so blinded with this that they're ready to die on this losing battle hill. I'll leave them to it 😎

It’s a huge generator of pollution, both micro particles and noise. I've been a strong advocate for change for the pollution on the underground. I've mentioned numerous times how much soot goes up people's noses and they don't realise the long term effects of this. Some lines have more than others.

You more than welcome to disagree with the ULEZ as is anyone else and the same goes for the Tube needing to be cleaned up (and fix those incredibly noisy sections that never used to be so loud) but my issue is squarely with how some on here treat these politicians as if they are deities rather than have an honest and balanced debate about all the candidates - I mean there is literally a thread on the forum where all that gets posted on is about Labour and not very good things rather than a mix between both parties to enable proper scrutiny.

Ah yes, forgot about that one - well ignore that part of my comment then But my other point remains the same - there are still some people being ridiculously tribal rather than engaging in an balanced debate.

Reversing ULEZ is like reversing Brexit... It's not going to happen. I don't recall a referendum undertaken about the ULEZ? Brexit affects the whole country unlike ULEZ

The PM was on ITV London news this evening and was asked about ULEZ and the London elections. He gave the impression the ULEZ would be removed if the Conservatives win the Mayoral elections! This surprised me as I have always been skeptical about such promises and never thought there would be any U turns especially after the work put in expanding the zone.
What wasn't clear was if it was the whole ULEZ or just the expanded section. Personally don't think it would be fair if it reverted back to the A406 borders as why should only certain residents be forced to pay.

Probably just the expanded section? Susan Hall has made it clear that will happen immediately if she is elected.

The latest poll shows Khan is just 3 points ahead. With a real push for a good turnout, he can be kicked out and ULEZ extension reversed. You do realise thats just lip service right when they talk about reversing ULEZ. They may say it just to get the votes and then those that vote for them will try and lap it up only to get sucker punched when they go back on their word. Rinse and repeat. Personally I don't see ULEZ being reversed. Surely there would be clauses and contracts with these companies with a minimum of 5 years. If cancelled, then the government would have to pay them money.

Ultimately Khan is the main person so naturally everything about this thread would be linked to him. Nothing stopping yourself or others posting the "questionable" things in other threads.

The same with many Labour people on here being tribal, supporting the party like a football team and as they could do no wrong.

I'm amazed that ULEZ 'scamera vans' are left unattended like this, what do they think is going to happen? Anyway clearly blocking the camera like this isn't illegal. Another one has been blocked this morning in Spout Hill in Addington.
