You do realise thats just lip service right when they talk about reversing ULEZ. They may say it just to get the votes and then those that vote for them will try and lap it up only to get sucker punched when they go back on their word. Rinse and repeat. Personally I don't see ULEZ being reversed. Surely there would be clauses and contracts with these companies with a minimum of 5 years. If cancelled, then the government would have to pay them money. Perhaps

This is another thing people need to understand. When the high ups say they don't have money. What they really mean is they don't have money for YOU!!! They have money to do things but it won't benefit them so they won't spend it freely without some sort of incentive given back to them.
The famous saying buy low to sell high comes to mind.
The reason I say it won't get reversed is because it would cost more money to undo everything they've done.

But in this case it is not what they have done, it is what a horrible big bully opponent has done, so want to be seen as a knight in shining armour. Analogy not necessarily how I see things.

Enjoy your humble pie if Khan goes, and to be clear it's the ULEZ expansion that will be going, not the whole thing. Remember you said this 😎 so if he stays I'll come back to this very comment and use the stick on you 😂😂. The expansion is going nowhere. If you really think it's getting reversed then I have a big bridge here to sell to you. Voting Susan Hall is not going to do anything. The most she will do is do a small change and sneak it in afterwards and pull the rug underneath you people's eyes and then people who voted for her will act shocked as in to say that this wasn't to be expected. Your bias is showing. If Hall gets in, she WILL cancel the ULEZ expansion on day 1.

What makes me laugh on here is all these people against Khan are fine at pulling up anti stories about him and the scheme which is perfectly fine for scrutiny purposes but conviently none regarding his nearest rival despite her saying & liking some more than questionable things online. It would be better if there was a balanced debate rather than it mirroring people and football clubs which is completely different I think there are certainly areas to scrutinise her on. But I think it’s time for fresh leadership in city hall. But that doesn’t mean it has to be Susan Hall. Khan is quickly becoming a pariah in the outer boroughs. I still say we should watch the Lib Dems, both locally and nationally. If they can get a strong candidate they could very well split the vote from Labour and Tory, likewise at the next general election. As for the ULEZ, I don’t disagree with it existing and I think there is a place for it but charges should be lower and money generated should be targeted towards cleaning up the tube. It’s a huge generator of pollution, both micro particles and noise. Stand in Cudham and justify the tax.

Stand in Cudham and justify the tax. I don’t know what that is. It's a village near Orpington served by the R5/R10.

Your bias is showing. If Hall gets in, she WILL cancel the ULEZ expansion on day 1. Again everything I've been saying and will CONTINUE to say will go over YOUR head. So I will say it again for those that didn't hear at the back. Everything Susan Hall has said right now is lip service. In the event that she somehow defeats Khan in the election. She may reverse it TEMPORARILY. Now this is where you need to pay attention. Do you really think if she did that, it would stay like that permanently? Sure it may appease some people before she SNEAKILY brings it back to where it is now. So at this point assuming you may vote for her, you'll probably start acting shocked and be surprised that she made a move like that as you thought it (ULEZ) would be reversed permanently. The high ups have their agenda for the clean air, they may halt it temporarily but the bottom line is it will be permanently for these charges. So you can either go out into the streets and form a group (hopefully a strong group) to dethrone this idea or simply understand it will continue.

Your bias is showing. If Hall gets in, she WILL cancel the ULEZ expansion on day 1. Ahh, another political gambit that incumbents execute after gaining office. Let's look at some previous examples: Boris Johnson campaigned to replace bendy buses if he won. He did in 2008 and whilst phasing out 18m artics until December 2011, the conventional deckers needed to replace capacity saw around a 50% increase in PVR of those routes. For the Red Arrow routes their PVRs doubled. It was a costly project but he said he'd do it whilst campaigning so he committed. Sadiq Khan originally wanted to scrap all LTs if he was voted as Mayor in 2016. He was, but someone at TfL probably foresaw the unnecessarily expensive vanity project and got him to reconsider. It's either that and/or TfL's forecasts after his fares freeze promise he also got elected on. We all know what promise out of the two he kept. Back to this tidbit by Susan Hall. As I said a month ago today when the scheme went live, you can't rebox Pandora. It will be incredibly expensive to remove infrastructure and make it obsolete; a pause on ULEZ expansion at best, not a complete removal.

No long winded consultations or anything else, the ULEZ expansion will be scrapped immediately.

Probably cost less than fixing the 'broken' cameras. Projected to make a loss by 2026, so extremely prudent in the long run.
