I mI have read on the RailUK Forums that the long standing 84 from New Barnet Potters Bar to St Albans is to be withdrawn in April. It is a cross boundary service operated by Metroline so not wholly in the TfL area. Being from the sticks means I don't know the area, so over to other posters! It was run by London Country in 1982-86 so not from PB. I'm not sure it always even ran via Potters Bar. Other than the period between 1982-86, the 84 has been at PB since 1936. There had been allocations at AE, MH and W in the 30s and at AD between 1940-69.

It has only run via Potters Bar since 1986 before then it went straight up the St Albans Road from Barnet to South Mimms.
This re-routing enabled LT to cease running "proper" red bus routes between Barnet and Potters Bar, with the 84 being a Hertfordshire Contract route.
