Slide 6 has some visuals of an update to the TfL Go app and a new Countdown design along with the addition of an occupancy widget for current ones. Slide 6 seems to suggest that Sutton & Bromley are getting 40 new & improved bus shelters which would make them the 2nd & 3rd boroughs to be receiving some at some point after Croydon was announced a while ago. Shame this isn't being rolled out over other areas "321 additional countdown screens installed" - bet this won't include the stops they removed countdown screens from like my local Brixton Hill stop which had one and then when the shelter was replaced, they never installed one to the new shelter but the stop before it which also had it's shelter replaced at the same time, got a new countdown screen and is less used in comparison So basically, if you don't live near an Elizabeth line station, on the 63 line of route or in one of Bromley/Sutton, you get next to no benefit from any of this unless the TfL Go App suddenly becomes useful. A lot of the shelters in Central Sutton, Cheam and Worcester Park have already been upgraded to the latest style, these were done in Jan/Feb. I’m not too sure about the Belmont/Hackbridge/Carshalton sides of the borough, I never go to those areas.

Same as my Stop in Morden. Got replaced and the countdown hasn't gone back up after a couple of months now.

Where does it say that buses will run on time without dawdling at bus stops because of excessively padded timetables or crawl along because of the cycle madness / 20mph zones instigated by the know-it-all mayor?

I had a look - some things are interesting but those that are don't apply to my borough so I can't not give any meaningful comment - hopefully, some of those new countdown displays make it to Lambeth as it doesn't look like we'll get anything remotely beneficial otherwise.

Quite ironic considering that the electrics restricting speed will actively make things slower.

Says that all the ZE target for buses has been brought forward to 2030! I will predict now this won't be hit. Reasoning, all the routes being pushed for conversion in 2029/30 and lack of production capacity.

Says that all the ZE target for buses has been brought forward to 2030! I said about this the other day but got shouted down by the usual subjects. I don't post stuff if it isn't true, or if there isn't 100% assurance add a caveat...

Anyway that is a presentation and assume still subject to further funding!! I am still extremely doubtful the deadline will be met! There will be an awfully of tenders expiring close to 2030 which will put pressure on the manufacturers! O and also existing electric buses from around 2016 will also be close to a age when they might be end of life and need replacing.

You could have simply asked that at the time and would have happily obliged. I think it was quite a quickfire response to a question so not as comprehensive as maybe otherwise would have been.

I think we can safely say all 2024 and 2025 tenders will be for 6 and 5 years respectively if existing. After that the financial aspect will have to be taken into account if only new starting in 2026. As I worked out for example on the 107 there's about a £700k saving over 7 years on the existing award. Was around 850k a year!! for the 53 on existing. That's alot of money to turn down in my opinion just to bring a deadline forward 2 to 4 years.
