I agree with retaining the uniqueness of the Baker Street to South Ken link, terminating the 74 at South Kensington is ridiculous because there would be no through bus along the A4 from Earl’s Court, even for short trips to Knightsbridge. South Kensington is an awkward traffic junction to have to change buses - same comments apply to the loss of the Battersea and Chelsea to Kensington direct link provided by the 49 which would be severed at South Kensington. The 414 should be withdrawn, the Marble Arch terminus is of no use to anyone coming from the south and having to change buses just to reach the Oxford Street shops. It would not provide an satisfactory replacement for the direct link provided by the 14 to the West End. 14 should be amended to operate Putney Heath to Piccadilly Circus. 430 withdrawn between Putney Bridge and South Kensington. 74 and 19 could stay the same. The 430 can also divert to Hammersmith via the 220. The 220 has no support and always gets busy, whilst the 14, 22, 74, 414 and 430 all show up heading to the same areas and it results in a lot of lightly loaded buses throughout the day. I still think the 378 should be extended from Putney Bridge to Hammersmith.

I was just looking over the bus changes and I don't know why they extended the 27 down to Clapham instead because they could have just extended the 328.

I still think the 378 should be extended from Putney Bridge to Hammersmith. I think that should happen because the 378 is a very short route compared to other routes in the area and London. I don’t think it would particularly well used. The 220 is far more frequent and more importantly serve the upper bus station, where the majority of passengers alight and interchange. An extended 378 would likely terminate in the lower bus station and unless timed between 220s would be heavily under-utilised at its much lower frequency. Better to retain it as a hopper between Mortlake/Barnes and Putney for the tube.

I was just looking over the bus changes and I don't know why they extended the 27 down to Clapham instead because they could have just extended the 328. The only real reason I can see would be that the 27 has a night service and can replace the N31 but that does break a Paddington to Hammersmith link if the 23 is diverted aswell and means no Hammersmith to NHG night link either. The whole purpose of that change is to remove the overlap between the 328 and C3 and maintain a Clapham Junction to Kensington link albeit a different way then the 49.

Ah ok because if the 27 will change it will provide a Earl's Court to Notting Hill Gate and also a Clapham to Kensington link.

That's my assumption as well that the 27 has a night service and the 328 doesn't, it would be a bit of a double whammy for Hammersmith to lose the night services on the 23 and 27.

But the 328 would do the same so wouldn't be surprised if the changes are revised and the 27 remains as it is and the 328 extends to C Junction.

I'd say that the change involving the 27 and 328 would happen very quickly compared to the others because the C3 would just get discontinued and then 27 extended.

The C3 does have the 3 year termination clause so would be quite easy to do.

We will probably know the results really soon now. Next month, I believe was mentioned. I think it was only said later in the year. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a holding email saying the volume of responses was high and it will take them longer to analyse them.
