Transpora have announced they will be taking on some former Yellow Coaches (latterly with Yellows under Xelabus management) school routes when Yellow Coaches cease operating them next month. Word on the street is that Morebus are taking on the 18, but no word on the 33/36 (so who knows - maybe these will go to Transpora too!). This was posted on the Transpora Bournemouth Facebook page today: We'll be providing your school bus between Verwood, West Moors, Ferndown, Poole Grammar School & Parkstone Grammar School from Monday 20th February 2023. We cannot wait to meet our new customers! Times can be found at transporabus.co.ukIf you have any questions, drop us a DM or email hello@transporabus.co.uk UPDATE: Since posting the above, the Transpora account has said More are taking the 33/36, as well as the 18, on.

Bournemouth Transport Ltd. (trading as Yellow Buses) has now entered voluntary liquidation and claims from creditors are now being processed as the company is wound up. The majority of creditors are likely to receive just a fraction of what they are owed. When Yellow Buses went into administration last July its debts outstripped assets by around £1.33 million. At 14th June 2023 the administrators calculated that a total of £1,742,955 was available in assets. Adminstration costs were calculated at £674,082 leaving £1,068,873 for preferential creditors. Employee claims of £46,808 relating to unpaid holiday, a bill of £46,054 with the redundancy payment service (RPS) and £705,668 to HMRC reduced the total for unsecured creditors to £270,343. Claims of unfair dismissal have been instigated by former employees, although two of these predated administration and one has since been withdrawn. The formal winding up of Bournemouth Transport Ltd. commenced on 27th June 2023 and was confirmed in a notice on Companies House published on 5th July. www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/23660325.yellow-buses-goes-adminstration-voluntary-liquidation/ In the meantime, yellow buses are back in Bournemouth - although this time with a small 'y'. Thirteen former RATP London Scania OnmiCitys have been purchased from Stephenson's of Essex by Go-Ahead. They have been painted allover yellow as they are intended for Bee Network services operated by Go North West in Greater Manchester from September, but in the meantime they have been loaned to Morebus for the Summer period.
