If that is the fact, the why do the leader and prime minister go and visit Trump when he was in the US last month. Because America are allies and it's what you do with allies. If Trump gets in and knows the British government were campaigning against him ... can't see that allie status being that special any longer. UK should stay out of foreign politics as we will have to work with whoever wins

I take it that doesn’t apply to Farage helping out Trump? An invalid comparison. Big difference, Reform UK are not the governing party of the UK. Its the job of the governing party to maintain good relationships with our key allies including America. Tell us how sending 100 staffers out to interfere in the US election will benefit the Labour government in maintaining our country's special relationship should Trump win?
Keir Starmer was over there to meet Trump no doubt to try and establish a good relationship should he win the election then weeks later the Labour send out 100 staffers to campaign against Trump. Seems a bit two faced.

Give "gifts" of tickets or more recently tens of thousands pounds of clothes which buys you influence, exclusive access or favours which you can then later call in. I propose that the receipt of gifts by politicians should be banned or alternatively must be given to charity so that the receiving politican does not benefit personally.

It is only for the corrupt and those with power issues. The days when politicians served those that voted for them has well gone (think of the odd exception), now they serve who pays them the most. *EDIT* Sorry there is a third group of politicians, those that end up in politics as they are so inept at performing any other role and end up inept politicians.

Now many of the left wing press have kept their stinking traps shut

In your eyes it might be an invalid comparison but Ok let’s try that again - so I presume you kicked up a fuss when the Tories sent out people to do the exact same thing when they were in power?

Having seen the latest footage, if he does not go down for at least two years, the cries of TwoTierKier will reverberate loud and clear again.

Cue someone else always saying would the Tories have been any better. I was under the impression the Labour Party were full of Angels just waiting to govern in the most moral way.

In my earlier post I stated my thoughts on meddling in each other's elections: No one should be going from here to sway the US election (Farage or Labour) and equally I would not appreciate the Democrats or Republicans sending teams of people here to interfere in our elections. Nowhere have I said that one party or country doing it is ok and not for another.
