Are some 34s not stopping in Walthamstow Bus Stn? The Superloop Staff at the stop were telling people to take the SL1 to the Market stop to catch one. First time riding the SL1, somewhat busy from Walthamstow to Silver St but pretty dead otherwise, at the first two stops a 34 behind us was getting rammed whilst we weren't half full 34 will now set down passengers at bus stop X on Selborne Road instead of inside Walthamstow Central Bus Station. No change to the pick-up stop towards Barnet. Correct. It may be the case some drivers did not know or missed the station intentionally but something to watch. Clearly any local would not take the advice of the volunteer staff and instead walk to the market stop via the back of the station. I think SL1 will be popular once people understand. As said, the flyover/underpass savings are incredible.

As said, the flyover/underpass savings are incredible. As someone who used it in the afternoon peak e2e yesterday (dep at about 1535 from Walthamstow iirc), the savings were amazing and I think the route could be completed in about half an hour if not less on an off peak journey if there was less traffic. If a bus were to have no passengers, you could be looking at a good 25 minutes e2e. The buses were somewhat busy across the day (potentially due to the sheer volume of enthusiasts that were there for the first day) and the staff as the stops were very helpful in informing passengers at stops about the new route. As said, I think the numbers will continue to increase once people are familiar with the route as it seems like a dead handy link across North London.

Morning folks
Now that two Superloop routes are at North Finchley. Does anyone know where the 112 parks up. I've seen the SL1 parks up in the bus station.

diamondgeezer was reporting that the leaflets being handed out were far more useful than the generic schematic Superloop map! Good to see someone realised it was useful to actually have a stop list for passengers.

The breeze is great on a hot day, I wish more vehicles had the sliding windows.

Agree about having sliding windows on other buses but disagree about LT’s being cool in the summer, still too many that radiate heat worse than other buses. The Geminis are still the best ones personally

This bus SL1 is a joke!! Bus driver take too long to takeover and I was waiting for more than 30 minutes at Walthamsow central then it go slow along the road. Bus 34 seem caught up with us. I had put forward complaint to TfL about poor performance of SL1. Bus drivers need speed it up!!!

That Ravenside Trading Estate stop really does look like an accident waiting to happen!

Bus priority really should of been implemented along with the route if it's to remain on the A406. It's why such schemes won't work further inside London and can only be realistically confined to Outer London without a significant reduction in car usage.

I had put forward complaint to TfL about poor performance of SL1. Bus drivers need speed it up!!! Let's calm down a bit. I have taken the bus multiple times and the route has been fine. The article makes some good points but mixed in some nonsense for clicks. This route has the potential to be as successful as the previous express routes. I agree that there should be some flex, with learning, that Edmonton - Palmer's Green section may be faster via slip road/ 34 routing in morning peaks. Let's be sensible and constructive.
