Noticed that all the stops on the Essex portion of the 549 have W14 tiles up - don’t think the stops in Redbridge do, certainly both South Woodford Station stops still have 549 on.
Btw, the map they’ve published for the changes at stops is one hell of a incoherent map to follow - god knows how non enthusiasts will understand it.

Thanks .I make that to be bus stop D and code 49808 for bus times on bustimes.org .seems it will go round Green Man roundabout on its route to hospital then travel towards leytonstone underground station and onwards to hospital .I am hoping to try this now route before I need to travel on it for actual hospital duties !! I check both W12 and W14 today for one trips each. I am surprised that W14 seem busy but W12 didn't seem very busy! However, let see how it go from this Saturday when lots of changes to W12,W13,W14 and 549 (withdrawn). 😬 knowing the change is this Saturday I am planning a kind of dummy run on the W12 from Wanstead to hospital where I can start by getting a meal before seeing what chaos happens and what my phone apps etc tell me about bus arrival times . Are we sure this is not April 1st ! I foresee a lot of very confused passengers and just hope I can get it right!,

I foresee a lot of very confused passengers and just hope I can get it right!, I must admit it never registered with me until recently that the "New" W12 will most likely offer a quicker service to Whipps Cross hospital than the current W12 from Wanstead. The new hourly W14 would probably be quicker than the new W12 but the hourly frequency lets it down.

The cycnic in me agrees with you, wouldn't surprise me at all.

I've only just clocked, the new w14 will give the 549 exclusive roads a Sunday and evening service, so it's not all disappointing.

What buses have been allocated to each route?, Do we know yet?
Also, has it been confirmed what buses have been ordered for the W13 and W14?

What also intrigues me is if the W12 is to go to leytonstone station that stop will be very busy with people seeking to go to hospital so I hope the physical bus on that route will be larger than the present small bus unless the route at the Walthamstow end requires a small size bus to negotiate the roads at that end

AFAIK, types haven't been confirmed for the W13 & W14, only W12 so far. I would imagine the W13 will receive similar length electric vehicles to the current MMC's given it's routing is merely an extension over the current W14 between Leytonstone & Leyton Retail Park rather than complete changes like the W12 & W14 in comparison. As for the W14, I couldn't say for sure.

The bus stop maintainers have already started to add W13s to replace to W14 tiles.

I have not been keeping up with this at all, but a question for anyone who has, what problems are being solved by these changes?? I found a few maps out this morning “ explaining” the changes and it just looked like an overstimulating and confusing disaster

I think it would have helped if they produced a leaflet like with the SL5 and SL7 consultation and show the route diagram. Obviously these couldn't show every stop but atleast 12 of the main ones would atleast allow people to see where they are, where they want to go and the destination of the bus.
