Mobitec has access to the full set of individual layouts created for smart blinds by Doug Rose. It's very foolish of TfL to only make the layout available to one company, especially if it's looking like Hanover is going to become the brand of choice for many operators. I think cl54 said previously it’s something to do with Hanover not wanting to pay for it

I think cl54 said previously it’s something to do with Hanover not wanting to pay for it I wouldn't be too surprised if it's the reason, if they're effectively the display of choice for most companies then they can probably get away with not paying for it as people are still buying their displays regardless of how the front looks. Would be interesting to see what display costs more, the differences between the displays on the 262 and 276 are completely stark when you see them side by side at Stratford. The 276 is formatted decently but that's where it ends, with the Hanover display being much brighter and easier to read from distance.

I thought I would really like it, but I don't. The wood effect floor with just a basic bus feels cheap. I worry this will devalue the overall spec of new buses. Do the lot, or none of it. Maybe I will change my mind when I'm see it for real. I think it's the shade of wood that does it for me. The greyer ones at least feel less pub floor-like . This one makes me think of an old tavern!
I don't honestly quite see the appeal of the wood in the first place though, but I guess it's come up in surveys as something people like

I was one of the first to slate the many many issues they had, but I saw loads of 276’s today and every single one was now functioning perfectly, no faults on front side or rear. So clearly Mobitec have been fixing and replacing the faulty screens, and seem to be doing far better now I’d also challenge your point about them now becoming the screen of choice for most manufacturers, it seems to be 50:50 at the moment. GAL, TUK and RATP are going for Hanover (the latter two presumably after being dissatisfied with the issues of their initial Mobitecs), while Arriva, Metroline and Stagecoach are going for Mobitecs on their (apart from Stagecoach’s new Metrocities but that almost certainly due to the spec of the ones they inherited)

I agree. It just doesn’t go with red seats and yellow handrails which is a decent internal colour scheme otherwise. It’s the same on the Electroliners.

I agree. It just doesn’t go with red seats and yellow handrails which is a decent internal colour scheme otherwise. It’s the same on the Electroliners. I think it really does go with it tbh the red and yellow Abellio interior is a really light and bright interior, so the lighter wood flooring I think works really well

QB used to have I’d say some of the tidiest allocations in all of London, SL14s/SN64s on the 156/345, YX15s and YY16s on the 344, SN18s on the 196, and LV73s on the C3. Also back in the day SN59s/SN12s on the 414 and the LJ09 diesels strictly on the 345/C3 too.
Now it’s just anything and everything, I know it’s good for operational convenience but tbh it disappoints me knowing how tidy they used to be 😆

Now it’s just anything and everything, I know it’s good for operational convenience but tbh it disappoints me knowing how tidy they used to be 😆 AB/TUK in general seemed to be very tidy with allocation, nowadays, it seems only DH has kept its tidy allocations with the MMCs strictly on the 350 and U7, the classic E200s almost always on U7, electric DDs only on U5 and the E400MMCs usually on 278 with some late night workings on the U5.

And even funnier they literally have ONE diesel Enviro400 left and they still can’t stop these strays
