I suddenly remember at school hearing route 73 described as the banana route, as its buses came in bunches.

386 - Blackheath Sightseeing Given how the routing goes around various corners of Blackheath, and even passes the Blackheath Village terminus twice on each direction How does it pass its terminus twice in each direction? I meant it would pass (or at least close by) the terminus once before it eventually terminates there. I still remember how bizarre I found that when I used the 386 for the first time. I was waiting for one to Greenwich at Blackheath Village, then saw another Blackheath Village bound 386 passing in front of me (not stopping at the stop I was at, of course) and went away.

Actually it’s got me thinking about what routes emulate other letters from a Birds Eye view
J : 474 L : 173 M: 247 S : 191 U : K1 V : 331 (upside down) Y: 381 Z : 111

L I'd go for 222, 173's more a back-to-front L. Maybe the two are reflections of each other in Central London?!?! W: 188 I: 149 (a little boring, I know) P: 455

Yep! I called it "the earthquake simulator" because of how bumpy the ride can be from Royal Standard to Woolwich, especially in Stagecoach days when they ran rattly 58/09-eg E200 Darts! The 11-reg SENs on the route now are not much better to be fair... I know (especially SEN18 and SE88), but 36328 was something else. In 2018, me and my friend went on it and walked about the bus in the Greenwich/Blackheath/Maze Hill portion and pretend it was an earthquake simulator . (The bus was nearly empty.)
