With respect you would be much better off browsing actual news websites. Social Media is not a place for news! I dread to think of the future if people start using Social Media as their main source of news. Spoiler-Alert: they already are and have been for some time...

I know and my reply was more about how some people are sucked in and believe it all or think “old” news is new because it might be at the top of their feed / timeline.

That doesn't mean social media isn't a form of news, it's probably the biggest propellor of news in the current climate far more than any traditional news outlets.

I'm sure everyone who voted for him sleeps in peace knowing that Susan Hall was kept out.

Hell Trump or Biden couldn't have been worse, and think the American have the worse choice in any election ever! Count Binface the joke candidate would even have been better. Virtually anyone else listed on the voting paper would have been better. 18 months, pay per mile will be on the table.

Looking at all the opinion polls in advance, the result itself and even the national picture I think most people agree that Susan Hall would have been worse and you can see that by how people have voted. Dissatisfaction at Khan isn't as bad as may be made out on the forum.

He was just lucky dissatisfaction of the Tories outweighed dissatisfaction with the Mayor, otherwise he could have easily been out! You only has to look at his personal satisfaction rating ... pretty sure he was the only Labour politician with a negative rating.

This was on the cards for a few years now and I was telling people not to get sucked into thinking that just because the congestion zone is free for electric cars that it won't move to them in the future to foot the bill. A lot of people who have electric cars now who thought they got ahead of the game are going to be in for a rude awakening in the next few years. Time to watch it unfold.

Also why should electric cars be exempt from fuel duty, but do the most damage to the roads because of weight?

Also why should electric cars be exempt from fuel duty, but do the most damage to the roads because of weight? I totally agree. And obviously are still taking up road space when the CC was obviously designed to reduce the amount of cars on the road.

Also why should electric cars be exempt from fuel duty, but do the most damage to the roads because of weight? How do you propose they do that when many charged at home using the standard supply. We would need to tax all electricity if you did that.

Dissatisfaction at Khan isn't as bad as may be made out on the forum. But even that poll did narrow from pretty much 24/49% eventually on the day to 32/43% as I'm sure it will narrow on Thursday. The fact he only in a sense came down 5% whereas she went up 9% would suggest initial support for other parties (Lib dem, Green, Countbinface) switched back to Tory. I think this is happening now with on the day Reform performing alot worse then predicted and a few more 'safe' Conservative seats being retained by them.
