It has been a massive landslide victory and a crushing defeat for the Conservatives/SNP. Labour will be in power for at least 10-15 years.

I doubt that very much 🤣 Absolutely. If you thought the Tories were bad expect a few 'hold my beer' moments from Keir Starmer 🤣

Just saw the exit poll before I went off to sleep, woke up and I think I am still seeing the exit poll. Very accurate.

You definitely have a valid point there but the good thing looking at this change is that Khan now will not be able to blame the govt as he has done over the years... It’ll be interesting to see how quickly he turns on Starmer when he says no to him. He was already all over BBC One giving it Starmers a grown up, he’s united us, blah blah blah. As far as I'm aware Labour only actually gained 1 extra seat in London which is quite surprising really. Most were all returns to Lib dems such as Sutton etc.

Labour made a net gain of 6 seats in London.

Unsurprisingly, but thankfully the Tories seem to have been handed a resounding defeat, even worse than what the exit poll predicted. It will be good to see Labour take power once again, but one thing today has taught everyone is that even the strongest majorities can fall apart within just one term.
I'm largely expecting the Starmer cabinet to mirror the Shadow Cabinet, but we'll know for certain later today.

We probably won’t, far too little cash and far better things to spend it on. You definitely have a valid point there but the good thing looking at this change is that Khan now will not be able to blame the govt as he has done over the years... Listening to him last night he was like he did not think Keir would pull it off in this way a few years ago. He had believe "his friend" Milliband would have.

Well of course it seems dead then, walked past my polling station at noon and it was empty but at 5/6pm when people got home from work there was a long queue Well during the London elections when I went the same time it was busy!
