Thanks very much!! I now understand. Just one last question. Is it very often that you do overtime 10301 or chances are very slim? I dont and have never done overtime after completing a shift, I do work my rest days however, I have been asked a few times but always decline unless it's just a bus movement (E.g. Subbing a bus somewhere), the last thing I want to do is finish and then go and drive another one even if they are paying overtime. There are other drivers that accept, I recall seeing a driver at Leyton on 3 different routes in a day, she had a straight through job on the 55, then did a rounder on the 56 and then took a 48 from bakers arms to Walthamstow and back, while I do many things for the company, my finish time is my finish time and I'm going home

Does anyone have a clue as to the revised contract end date for route 46? In theory the contract expired a few weeks ago but obviously we're waiting for a resolution to the "zero emission" single deck tenders for several routes (46 included).

I think it was extended pending retender, therefore probably a (nominal) year. I suspect flexibility to vary upto 3 months exists. Think the 94 got a similar extension. I suspect the tender announcement will formalise a date.

TfL owned land at the station is going to get housing on it - I suspect that means the bus turning circle / stand area will vanish. Checks - yes I'm right. fromthemurkydepths.wordpress.com/2015/09/06/tfl-proposing-20-storey-tower-at-kidbrooke-station/I think we need to see the 178 consultation on Kidbrooke conclude (only been going over a year) as I expect the 178 and B16 will be covered in whatever the conclusion is as to how buses serve the Kidbrooke area in future.

Nope, the Streetdeck is an entirely different bus with a Daimler OM934 engine, the body is very similar to the Mk3 Gemini 3. The 340's is the only bus route to utilise these buses. The Gemini 3 is a body that's only available on a Volvo chassis

The Gemini 3 is a body that's only available on a Volvo chassis I really don't understand why Wrightbus didn't give it a more understanding name or just call both vehicles a 'Gemini'. I mean the Mk1 version was Wright Eclipse Gemini for the B7TL & Wright Pulsar Gemini for the DB250 whilst the Mk2 version was known as the Wrightbus Gemini2 on either B9TL or Integral (VDL DB300) chassis so why not just remove the confusion altogether.

I would like to ask all drivers, if I may, that when you joined as a bus driver, did you have a choice of doing shifts on a rota basis (early, mids, lates) or can you do permanent shifts, e.g permenant night driver. Thank you

Probably a question our bus driver members can answer more than us ordinary passengers - on TfL school routes (i.e. 6xx series) is it mandatory for the kids to touch in with their Oyster cards or do they just pile on regardless? I know what the *theory* is - yes they should. I'm asking about what happens in practice.

Is the 295 on diversion? I ask because I've just a in service 295 towards Clapham Junction go via Putney Bridge Road. Either that or the driver is lost or took a wrong turn.
