If i recal correctly, East London currently have BW and T completed while BK are being fitted as we speak. Can't remember which order it is, but U, NS and WH, who are definately last, are yet to be fitted while, as already stated, RM are being fitted on site like BE have had. As for modifications, well, there's 17515 at WH and DMC51523 at DM that have been retrofitted with Euro IV engines I had 17515 on the 86 today. It sounds quieter and more subdued than the euro_3 Trident. The cooling fan is also more noticeable. It still has the same old euro_3 5 speed ZF box though, so it doesn't sound exactly the same as an Enviro. I could feel that it's not quite as powerful as the more healthy of the Travel London 51 reg Tridents.

It looks like iBus is having an effect on the layout of NS Tridents upstairs. As they're being fitted, the O/S upper deck seats at the front are being moved forward to make room for equipment behind the seats. Abit disappointing as the legroom on offer was brilliant at the front ;D

TBH with you CCK none of these euro 4 converted tridents really sound like enviros much, they still sound like euro 3, neither do they seem faster than a euro 3 trident. Apart from better emissions, there is not much difference between them and a euro 3 trident.

Thought this would be the best place for these. This apparently was used as the medical bus that went round depots but is now used mainly as a meal relief bus on district line rail replacement and can be found at upminister station on those days. from what i gather due to the lack of seats its insured as a hgv and as such you need a hgv licence to drive it. The pics were taken on my mobile so apologys for them not being to great. img188.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=image020j.jpg

DLA3 of TH has just received new LED side-indicators (similar style and shape to the Enviro's).

You have to bear in mind that 17515's origional euro_3 engine was bigger than the present one. * 17515 before retrofit (euro_3): 8.3 litres, 225 bhp * 17515 after retrofit (euro_4): 6.7 litres, 250 bhp * Travel London's 9700 (euro_3): 8.3 litres, 260 bhp Regarding First and Metroline, will they be retrofitting euro_5 engines on future Trident conversions? Also, I hope their B7TLs are due for upgrading to euro_5.

Can Euro3 buses even have their engines replaced with Euro5 versions? Is there some sort of difference between Euro3/4 and Euro5 (different ignition system as an example) that makes it technically impossible or can they still be upgraded? I had 17515 on the 86 today. Some Euro_3 Tridents now have euro_4 engines, which are euro_5 incentive. As for the B7TLs, Putney's refurbished WVLs are now euro_5 as they were all retrofitted with a new engine and exhaust systems. So in short, yes!

Speaking of them, I was in Putney on Wednesday and was listening to WVL17 & 18 and the only difference I heard was that the whine is not as loud as it was but other than that, its the same
