Most of our buses at DM have been modified to prevent them from moving off with the front doors open

[glow=red,2,300]This thread is for buses that have had changes done to them from the original production.[/glow] Well almost all buses have modifications made to them. The Routmasters had dozens. The most major production modification being the Lengthened version but there was also a Front Entrance version and Coach versions

The most major production modification being the Lengthened version but there was also a Front Entrance version and Coach versions Well, they were more like 'variations' than modifications. Variations are where the basic design is changed to suit a differing requirement, where a modification is usually used to refer to a 'one off' difference brought about by circumstances or for a test purpose. So variations would be RML, RMC, RCL and RMA classes for example. Modifications would include the single deck Routemaster (can't remember the number, may have been 1368), rebuilt after a fire. This might also include RMF1254, prototype for the RMA class.

Err................I think you are a little premature to say that 'nearly every London bus has iBus'. I have not kept count, but I would expect it to be somewhere between 50 and 65%, no more. As for you stating iBus is a modification, did ANYONE claim that it was not?

All that is left to be done at the Clapton is about 65% of East London Norowood 50% of Metrobus, ETB and Arriva DT Believe the custom boys are doing RM, WH Artics, and Blue Triangle ... this latter ones seems to have slipped through the net Evreything else should be complete

With a total PVR of 7450, that represents nearly 17% to go, so 83% done. It is difficult to judge where I live, as ELBG are the primary operator, but I felt that the post I commented upon left the impression it was all but done and dusted.

If i recal correctly, East London currently have BW and T completed while BK are being fitted as we speak. Can't remember which order it is, but U, NS and WH, who are definately last, are yet to be fitted while, as already stated, RM are being fitted on site like BE have had.
As for modifications, well, there's 17515 at WH and DMC51523 at DM that have been retrofitted with Euro IV engines
