Clapham Junction - Canada Water service seems to be pretty much a BN stronghold this morning, with them operating 6 of the 7 vehicles (4 x HA, 1 x HV-G3, and 1 x EA). The interloper is quite well disguised as a former BN, now TH based HA.

There will also be extensive rail replacements to the North of London today and tomorrow (7/8 January) as the East Coast main Line is closed south of St Neots. The cambridge branch will also be closed south of Royston on Saturday and south of Letchworth Garden City on Sunday.
For local journeys rail replacement buses are operating between Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City (also calling Cockfosters Underground) and Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North.
Other passengers are advised to use Thameslink services between St Pancras International and Bedford. Buses are operating between Bedford and St Neots for longer-distance travel to Peterborough and beyond. LNER is operating hourly to Leeds and hourly to Edinburgh from St Neots.
Buses are also operating:
- Elstree & Borehamwood to St Albans City via Potters Bar and Hatfield - St Albans City to Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn North, Knebworth, Stevenage and Hitchin - Luton Airport Parkway to Hitchin and Stevenage - Hitchin to Letchworh Garden City (extended to/from stations to Royston on 7th) - Hitchin to St Neots (all stations) -

There is a closure in the Broxbourne area affecting Greater Anglia services from Friday 13th to Wednesday 18th January - this is unusual as it affects weekday travel. The closure is to enable the replacement of the weak road bridge at Broxbourne Station. On Friday 13th, Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th trains will operate between Liverpool Street and Cheshunt, and between Harlow Town and Stansted Airport/Cambridge North. There will be no service to or from Hertford East. A limited rail replacement service will operate between Waltham Cross and Bishops Stortford, calling at Broxbourne only. On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th trains will operate between Liverpool Street and Cheshunt, and between Audley End and Cambridge North (there is additional tunnel maintenance over the weekend). Rail replacement services will operate between Waltham Cross and Stansted Airport (non-stop); Waltham Cross and Audley End calling at Broxbourne, Harlow Town and all stations; and between Bishop's Stortford and Stansted Airport. There will be no service to or from Hertford East, or at Roydon. On weekdays, passengers are being advised that the fastest route between Stansted Airport and Central London will be Cross Country Trains to Cambridge, then Great Northern trains to London King's Cross - Greater Anglia and Stansted Express tickets will be accepted on this route. On all days, Greater Anglia Tickets will be accepted for travel on Great Northern services between Hertford North and Moorgate/London King's Cross, and between Cambridge North and London King's Cross. It is not clear if rail ticket acceptance will be in place on local buses in the Hertford/Ware/Harlow/Broxbourne/Cheshunt areas. The bridge replacement is being accompanied by a road closure which commenced on 3rd January and will be in place until the end of April 2023, causing considerable disruption in the area as it leads to one of the few road crossings over the River Lea. Frustratingly there was a liveried LT parked in Beckton Bus Station (on the DLR RR) last evening as I passed on the 262 going to work but didn't have enough float-time to nip off - photo it under the lights and get on the next 262 to Gallions !

Utter dereliction yesterday on Jubilee/Met replacement. An hour's wait at Finchley Road at prime time, huge agglomeration of people trying to get to Wembley. On top of the broken down train fiasco earlier. TfL unfit for purpose.

Utter dereliction yesterday on Jubilee/Met replacement. An hour's wait at Finchley Road at prime time, huge agglomeration of people trying to get to Wembley. On top of the broken down train fiasco earlier. TfL unfit for purpose. TfL unfit for purpose because of things like a set of temporary traffic lights in Wembley leading to delays of up to an hour? TfL as a Statutory authority do get informed of planned Road works, closures, lights etc. They are also able to object and suggest alternative dates etc to avoid works on diversions whilst alternative is closed. More like a lack of co-ordination between the rail services bus team and the roadworks team. Unfit is bit strong, but uncoordinated or lacking in common sense is fair.

These could be emergency works, if it's borough roads not a lot TfL can do. I can certainly understand your frustration but a shortage drivers may well have been a contributing factor as it is on many rail replacement services, in fact SWR have been advising people to make their own arrangements and claim it back later........

I was wondering why there was a distinct lack of rail replacement buses in Barking over the weekend! We are getting back to the early days of TfL not giving a d*mn about accurate information (2016). On its website TfL stated LO-T would run from Barking which it didn't, and the website said the Jubilee line replacement buses would run through the night which it didn't. To think every line on the Tube map and surface transport had its own Twitter account a few years ago, where it felt like information overload sometimes to the shambolic relay of basic info we have now. I always generalise saying this without any political nuance, but 2016 was the Year of the Khan and I've only just made that connection.
