W9 has been nice being with Stagecoach for a bit but will probably be even nicer back home with Metroline at PB! Especially the use of older enviros, DE1641 in praticular is a rocket I should imagine it’s temporary as I can’t see Metroline winning the route on the basis it uses 2008 registered DE’s. Yes likely temporary - 2 of the 384's VMSSs are still yet to enter service, plus a few of the 61reg DEMs (allocated to the 382) are at HT as refurb cover. Once available, the 62reg DEMs should exactly cover the 234 and 327/W9.

I suspect what will happen is these DE's will go onto the 327 & 491 and cascade younger DEM's onto the W9 as the 491 has been allocated a few DEM's for a good while now so hopefully this removes the shorter buses from there and returns them to their old haunt of the W9 received 62 reg DEM's the last time under Metroline.

LF73DWW/DWX are not listed on LVF yet Both are listed as a VMS rather than a VMSS on lvf It seems the 384's PVR has gone up by 1 since the new contract award (which is why I thought there were more due). Means the 384 currently has no spares now that the PVR is up to 9 (and therefore requiring one DEM as well for now). Perhaps Metroline might order a top up alongside the 382's batch?

Obviously not but the buses will probs intermix between the routes anyways.

The 114's PVR went down by 1 for the new contract, so could be compensating for that? Also, has anything transferred to UX for the 697? The ex-AH VWs that transferred recently seem to have displaced a similar number of the U4's TEs elsewhere.

AFAIK, 3 of the VW's are for the 697 as a few TE's also moved into UX from elsewhere including the one that was missing at EW for a long time.

Into PB last night, DE 993/1591/1641. I was told by night shift shunter that there were 4 in, but I couldn't see the 4th. DE996 will be joining too, (not sure if this is the fourth bus you're talking about). The lot are for the W9 apparently.

How on earth they are allowed to start a new, albeit short, contract with these frankly ancient buses is beyond me.
