With the appearances of WDE on the 4 I assume it’s going to get WDEs until the BDEs arrive. Question where are the WDEs coming from will it get the WDEs meant for the 113 or the WDEs on the 113 or the remaining WDEs meant for the 83 and 297 that are still in storage? I wonder will happen to the VMHs on both the 4 and 113. the 4 isn’t getting bdes it’s getting electroliners

G have definetly got SL8 in the bag. As for 30, its likely Stagecoach may take grab of that route. RATP from X can also try bid on the 30. In view of their recent losses, I doubt they would be that adventurous, even after their more straight-forward win of route 31.

Wonder where they got that information from!
Everything off the boat in Hong Kong now seems to be MCV-bodied (the new BZL look) -- featuring KMB's heritage livery -- yet to be registered and put into service.
The most recent G3-bodied B8L's arrived in 2023 from an order made in 2021.
Stated as for an operator called Long Win, fleet numbers AV6X1 & 2 ... registered as ZL7492 and ZL6914 in Sept24 if I am reading it correctly. Don't know enough about HK operators to know it that looks correct visually. Link to video of No1 on YouTube uploaded two days ago ... Unfortunately can't tell for comments whether it is stating it is new or not. m.youtube.com/watch?v=xzjrTPfl7wQOh those are existing buses transferred from KMB to LWB (essentially a subsidiary that operates Airport routes to the New Territories). They are in a premium coach configuration ordered for use a few years back to boost capacity on 2 premium routes... but the pandemic meant that the routes were reduced to peak hours only and the additional capacity was not required, hence why these previously unregistered buses are now in service with LWB.
Tl;dr, ordered and delivered in 2022-23 iirc, mothballed due to the pandemic, then transferred to subsidiary and registered and put into service. Not newly delivered Wrighbus-bodied B8Ls!
You might similarly see some newly registered Citybus G3 B8Ls (can't remember if they've finally gotten around to putting the entire batch in service). Delivered a couple of years ago, mothballed during the pandemic, only recently have most of the batch been put into service because of new routes now in service.

Great can’t wait for Stockport to be flooded with those heaps 🤦🏻♂️ at least Stagecoach have got BZLs coming too I wonder how long they’ll last in Manchester before TfGM will want to go down the electrification route. I think it’s very sensible tbh going for a mix of some diesel and some EV instead of them putting all their eggs in the EV basket like TfL are doing. Even if said diesels are the worst ones available

Even if said diesels are the worst ones available I personally find it very odd that a City is still ordering Diesels. If it were a rural county then that would be more appealing to me. Wish TFL still ordered a mixture rather than full solid EV.

Wish TFL still ordered a mixture rather than full solid EV. Just because London garages couldn't maintain Streetdecks doesn't make the Ultroliner a bad bus. I've ridden on several recently purchased by Sanders Services in Norfolk. Fast runs at 50mph in and out of Norwich. Excellent performance and diesel needed because of the distances involved. Sorry yunus but diesel fuel will not be available in a matter of years.

Modern diesels (/smart hybrids) in TfL use are usually Voith Enviro200/400 MMCs, they have little to no character compared to the older vehicles pre-Euro 6

I actually love the Diesel MMCs. Would go for them anyway over a E400H personally.

If Diesel will not be available then how will the buses that require the fuel be pumped?
