There are still chances that diesels from the 118 stray onto it but I also think these will be a lot less common than now. From the Saturday the furthest into town AL will go now will be Clapham Junction on the 219! Till recently Brixton, Elephant, Waterloo and now Victoria and going back further Oxford Circus (I don't think any AL buses on the 88 went beyond Oxo). Oh they did... flickr.com/photos/megaanorak/52481615025/Moz

I know that the MHV's at Stockwell on Route 333 are the buses that the 89 will get but with Stockwell not being wired up do you think the 89 could get the EH's from the 172 or the WHV's from the 188 as the Stockwell ones have SW codes on them that have been refurbished.

Yes the 88'S on Sundays in the eighties were run by AL and went all the way through Central London to Acton Green and back to Mitcham with an extension via Phipps Bridge to Merton Garage

That must have been quite a journey even on a Sunday.

Travelled on them as a teen as my best mate's dad was on the 88's Sundays. Stockwell and Shepherd's Bush eventually covered the route , Sunday, when AL reduced their Routemasters. It was a long ol' journey, but a good sightseeing tour though

I see that as very unlikely. The 89 will have to keep going with its Es (and other older double decks) until SW finally gets electrified. Could be a long old wait.

Why were the X26s WVLs (LX59s) refurbished with a grey moquette as opposed to the blue one. Not too clued up with Go-Ahead stuff.

WVNs, ENs and SENs (both ex-Abellio and ex-First) seem to all have the grey moquette upon refurb, it seems like they reserve the blue seating for original Go-Ahead spec interiors and use the grey on other vehicles. In the LX59s case they used to have a special orange pole / red moquette combo on the ELT routes

In the LX59s case they used to have a special orange pole / red moquette combo on the ELT routes That was exactly it, vehicles that did not have the standard Go-Ahead interior when new were refurbished in a grey moquette, as this was neutral so would not clash with other colour schemes. It was mainly the ex-First vehicles that had the grey moquette but, as you say, the former ELT vehicles had it too.

There were some inconsisencies - I'm surprised they used the grey moquette on the ex-Abellio SENs as these have yellow handrails (while blue was used for the ex-Metrobus fleet and ex-RATP OMs). And the ex-ELT WVLs mostly got the grey moquete (for the X26), but a small number stayed at RR for the 5, which got the standard blue moquette when refurbished.
