An SL7 has crashed into a car in Feltham where it crosses over the 116 LOR.

So would SI have a problem with being wired up? Isn't SI leased though? Other than that I don't see why it would have a problem being wired up, plus it probably wouldn't need wiring. It's a shame because they operated many routes from that garage in the past, and unfortunately it has lost so much work. Literally back in 2022, the garage used to operate the D7, 135, 276, 300 and 376. And of course, many more that I am unable to think of from the top of my head! Now it only operates the 300 and 473, and that too with the 473 leaving to go to DS, once the BD11s are ready. Will the 147 still be moving to SI though? I think it would've been better to move the 15 too, given SI being quite close to the lining of the route. The 100 was there for a couple years after the closure of Mandela Way (MW) bus garage, and the W19 was won and ran by Docklands SI. Route 474 also transferred to SI in November 2007 the night it gained 24 hour status. I'm not too sure if you are aware of the 15 being based at DS for the past two years, but DS is barely 200 metres from SI so it's barely going to make a difference to operations if the 15 moved to SI.

Yes indeed it is restricted to Enviros - I believe that is due to the tight roads around Woodlands Estate Correct, converting it to EV could end up being an issue. Suitable only for 9.9m Tridents, some 10.4 Volvos have slipped out and got pulled off very quickly There hasn't been a 9.9m Trident since the ALX400 ceased production - apparently, a Volvo scraped a pass IIRC but they try to avoid putting one out as much as possible. The Enviro 400's on the 291 are 10.2m (and aren't Tridents ) and the shortest electric double deckers in London or on order are 10.5m so some modifications may need to be made somewhere.

Is there a width restriction on the 291 as I have noticed Hybrids never stray and is strictly Diesel Enviro operated. No other type is able to currently operate the 291 due to other types being too long around Woodlands Estate, Plumstead.

Oh yeah they’re not tridents are they, they’re E40D’s if we’re getting technical I challenge your point on the 9.9s though, the ex-First and ex-TT SN11 buses (some of which Metrobus still have at MB after the fire), I’m pretty certain are 9.9s. That’s what the London Bus handbooks say they are anyway, but could be incorrect.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but it has been rumoured in many different places that Electroliners have been ordered for the route, probably to arrive in early 2025.

Typically turning circle is the issue but at times the overhang can cause problems as well You’re probably onto something, iirc Volvo’s are notorious for large rear overhangs Would the 10.5m ADL E400EV be able to work the route? Or any electric DD bus for that matter?

The London Bus Handbooks are not always correct with the lengths - Euro V ones had 0.1m added on from the Euro IV 10.1m examples because of the slightly larger Cummins engine or slighter large engine bay.
